Course Description

Being a board approved supervisor, or in a supervisory role is both a privilege and responsibility. As a gatekeeper to ensure for ethical practice and best practice in client care, it is vitally important to maintain up-to-date training in the field of supervision roles, needs, ethical perspective, methods of building effective and appropriate relationships with clients, group supervision techniques and models of practice intervention.

This course will provide a clear and empowering framework for supervisors wishing to learn how to maximize their impact in their role in a way that uplifts their supervisee and all impacted clients. Learn effective and advanced skills for communication, problem solving, best practices and cutting edge supervision theory put into practical bites for next day implementation.

The Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners requires all board approved supervisors to complete 3 CE hours (both Category I and II are acceptable) on the topic of supervision. This course meets the required criteria and this will be noted on the completion certificate issued upon completion.

Learning Outcomes:
