This didactic and experiential workshop will review the theory, history and practice of Expressive Art techniques. Topics covered will include: mandalas, drawings, clay, painting, puppets, poetry, sand and music therapy. Skills of Bodywork/Meditation/Breathing, Drama Therapy/ Psychodrama/Socio-drama. GIM-Guided Imagery with Music: Hypnosis and journaling. The training will focus on the works of: Natalie Rogers, Cathy Malchiodi and Jacob Levi Moreno, all leaders in the development of Expressive Arts Therapy. Dynamic role play and practice will help cement the learning skills.

Dr. Sue Futeral is a dynamic and experienced clinician who holds a masters and doctorate in social work. She is an experienced clinician who works for Baltimore County Public schools, specializing in Expressive Art Therapy, utilizing her engaging and creative techniques to make a profound impact on her client’s lives.
