From the time our new client calls to make an appointment, we’re expected to answer questions about how we’re going to help. What modality will you use? How will you make my life better? When the client comes into our in-person or digital office space, we’re expected to assess, diagnose and create an effective treatment plan. Sometimes the client can see our lack of grounding and this can impact our therapeutic relationship.
How can you more easily conceptualize the case and learn to confidently treat the client? This intermediate level course is meant as a refresher and confidence builder to help hone your skills as a clinician. It will go through 10 areas of confusion and challenge and show you techniques to get on top of your game and shine as a clinician. We will cover interventions that can be instantly applied spanning modalities that include: CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, somatic interventions and trauma-informed skills. We will cover: Intake challenges, Goal setting, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, bipolar disorder, difficult people, relationship issues and personal and professional growth.
This course will empower you to be a much more effective clinician with confidence and know-how. By applying what you learn, you will enhance your clinical skills and improve client outcomes.
Original recording date: Wednesday, August 4, 2021
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
