When working with older children and “tweens” the nature of our play therapy interventions often naturally shifts in the direction of more directive techniques. This training will provide inspiration and instruction on how to be creative, rooted in a cognitive behavioral play therapy approach.

Learning Objectives:
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the theoretical basis for using CBPT with older children with anxiety.
- Differentiate CBPT with children from CBT.
- Name 4 anxiety disorders commonly found in children ages 11-14
- List 20 cognitive behavioral play therapy interventions age appropriate for older children
- Describe a sample case of a 12 year old female client and name interventions used to help her overcome generalized anxiety disorder
- Distinguish 5 differences between Anxiety and Panic.

Recordings, handouts and completion certificates are accessible for a guaranteed one year as long as your account is active.
