Many teens struggle with high anxiety and dysregulation. To work effectively with these youth, it is crucial for us to remain curious and engaged. This can be challenging, especially when clients extreme reactions—ranging from angry arousal to frozen shutting down—can lead to our own feelings of helplessness and disconnection. This webinar will briefly describe Developmental-Relational Therapy (DRT), an attachment-based treatment model. Martha will introduce mindful, empathic strategies that offer corrective relational experiences to help teens feel more secure, connected, present, and regulated.
Note: This course provides regular CE credits but does not provide Association of Play Therapy credits.About the 4 Part Series
