I really enjoyed this training. As a new up and coming play therapist I found the content to be relevant and applicable to my work with children and teens. The instructors were very knowledgeable and provided a lot of new techniques to keep in my toolbox.

Great material and great skill in presenting.

I thought the instructor was knowledgeable, but the training would have been more beneficial if there were more interventions that didn't require buying a lot of supplies. Also, I would have liked to see interventions that were simpler and would not take up the entire session or multiple sessions. Plus, things that are less messy would have been helpful because in my setting I don't have a sink nearby to wash up messes from paint or slime.

I love how thorough the training was, especially when discussing DBT interventions. I can now feel confident in using the interventions with so many of my clients, not just those who have bipolar disorder

The Somatic Interventions for Trauma Training that was offered by Dawn Bigler in May 2023 was informative, engaging, and well prepared. It was one of the rare trainings where I did not notice the time passing because I was so engrossed and learning so much.

The presenter was highly knowledgeable and a clear and engaging speaker. The topic and content were relevant and will definitely be helpful in enhancing my clinical practice.

This was the clearest, most well-organized and comprehensive training I've seen that addresses teens' behaviors in the context of developmental needs and what is occurring in their brains that make their behaviors make sense (and what to do when the behaviors are problematic). Excellent presentation!

I found Dr. Treisman's training on using play and expressive arts to help traumatized children self-regulate to be extremely helpful because of the attention and care given to pacing and strategies for facilitating the integration of the regulatory skills based on the neuroscience of developmental and relational trauma.

This training was an excellent place to learn specific activities to implement in my practice. The presenters were knowledgeable on their topic and brought to the table alternatives with the activities supplies if you are unable to obtain what they used for the activity. I loved learning the science behind the activities and how to discuss afterwards with our clients.

The presenter presented this very difficult topic in an engaging, clear and concise manner. She effectively communicated different techniques we can use to help our own patients in treatment to better help them with their grief.

Dr Treisman embodies warmth, compassion, and skill. In this presentation, she teaches co-regulation as an experience. I felt the regulation through her teaching methods and found myself highly engaged and wanting to hear more. This is a challenge these days after SO many lessons being delivered virtually, but she is truly a gifted speaker.

The instructors were great - relevant and knowledgeable. The training itself was sometimes hard to hear/understand due to poor sound quality.

I really liked all the videos! It was great all around. I learned how to hear, empathize and communicate with couples effectively. The 10 points to focus on when working with couples. Also, communication and empathy is key.

Eye-opening and curiosity-provoking

Before attending this training, I was uncertain about the therapeutic value of some games and which ones to include in the playroom, so I now have another tool for my kit. The instructor was very knowledgeable, and a great reflection on how she has incorporated games, into her sessions with children, the dialogue that can take place during gameplay was also very useful.

A fantastic brief overview of eating disorders that is not negative towards different body types and recognizes how to treat clients experiencing EDs of all types. Offered many different clinical interventions as well as when to make the decision to refer to higher levels of care. 

Short presentations from experts around the world kept me engaged and excited to try out these new techniques in my practice.

The course can be useful to daycare providers, foster care parents and anyone in a caregiver role. What I likes the most s was how to predict good behavior before it begins. To indirectly tell a child the behavior you want them to do. And also the empowering piece by saying “oh you know how to make a plan to get the game.”

I appreciated this training because it made the concept of regulation more accessible and reinforced the importance of taking the discovery of regulation slowly and without rushing. As a clinician, I am now aware that many of my clients may come in with traumas, however "big' or "small" they are to the client. I appreciate the suggestions for intervention.

This was probably the most useful workshop on play therapy that I've been to so far. It was straightforward and to the point of the research, the activity, the purpose, and the effectiveness. Each presenter seemed very knowledgeable on their topic, and I loved that presenters were from across the globe.

I loved this home study. I am at the beginning of my journey using DBT and I feel as though I I have formed a good foundation of DBT. I found the presenter to be full of knowledge and she provided examples that were helpful. I felt eager to learn more at the end of the study.

Presenter was clear and concise. Distinction between the various diagnoses in DSM of Bipolar were quite helpful. She used many examples from her own practice and research which was quite impressive. The time allotted could have been increased, but due to the short nature, I was able to return to my workday without interruption. Her resources are great and I am planning to purchase the workbooks that she recommended. I am looking forward to next week's training as well.

I really enjoyed learning about IFS and how to integrate it into my practice with couples as well as individuals. IFS contains a lot of what I have been looking for in addressing how we can release ourselves from the pain of our pasts and heal from those childhood hurts and trauma that impact us all. I really liked the Sexual Trauma Healing Program. I think it is a good structure. I also appreciate Dr. Tropper's explanation for asking questions regarding drinking and other addictive habits, as clients may not be upfront about their use.

The presenter presented the course on talking to children and adults about crisis, particularly in this crisis age of COVID, in a very clear and currently appropriate manner. He provided developmentally appropriate techniques to use with varying age groups facing crisis.

As a seasoned LCSW, I learned a lot completing this training. I wished I had it at the beginning of my career. I plan to use a lot of the interventions in my practice as I have a lot of anxious children due to COVID. If you have bought or use Liana Lowenstein books in your therapy practice, taking her courses can help you see the interventions and psychoeducation in action. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the opportunity to learn from some of the best play therapists, all in one place, all at the same time. I really appreciated the fact that I left the training with 4 interventions that I could easily and readily put into practice right away!

I thought the training presented many useful activities for therapists to use across all ages. I work with children ages 5-14 so it was helpful to have activities that could be used with each of age group.

This training was excellent is teaching child clinicians about this common but little known childhood challenge. I liked the history, the interventions, and the encouragement that parents need to be involved.

I have become Tara Deliberto's biggest fan after watching and learning from her Eating Disorder Crash Course webinar. The information Dr. Deliberto prepared for this one hour course was exceptionally organized with handouts that followed and supported her presentation. I learned very relevant and helpful strategies and explainations that will help me be more thorough in the work I do with clients who struggle with eating disorders and/or disordered eating behaviors.

Amazing! I really enjoyed the webinar and Liana did an outstanding job in sharing ideas of ways to work with clients online. I would highly recommend this webinar.

Ms. Lynn Louise Wonders is very knowledge and skillful in providing clinical supervision to the mental health professionals, provides informative information, especially the Integrative Developmental Model and Discrimination Model of Supervision, and has a very calm presence as a presenter.

This training is great at identifying and explaining roles a supervisor may take with new supervisees, both in general and specific to play therapy.

This was a fantastic course/instructor and I would recommend it to other friends and professionals looking to expand their skill set

Sitting on Zoom for two days covering theory and content can be tough, but not with this course! Dr. April is amazing. She organized and delivered this training in a way that kept me tuned in, engaged, and wanting more. She magically created a safe learning environment (VIRTUALLY, WOW!) that allowed participants to relax into her process, to ask general and individualized questions, and in the end, to feel capable of implementing sand tray therapy today! I can hardly wait! I hope to have Dr. April's skillset one day- she's inspiring.

This is a fantastic introduction into DBT. The facilitator was experienced and knowledgeable and gave examples of how to implement the strategies of DBT that can be used immediately with clients.

Sheri Van Dijk was detailed in explaining, clarifying and giving examples. I appreciate her style and knowledge on the topic. I did not feel overwhelmed by the material given her tutelage, which helped me take it all in better.

This training was incredibly helpful. I received an overview of helpful therapies and resources to learn more and receive certifications in those therapies. With certain therapy styles, I've learned enough today to get started with clients if I wanted. I learned so many informative techniques to use with clients and plan to implement in my session this evening. The instructor presented the topic of child protection versus parental rights, and subsequently child right, and grandparent rights in a very interesting and engaging manner. She gave a thorough lesson of how various court cases have shaped these rights over time. Ethics and law in therapy is not always the most engaging topic and yet I found the topic/course fascinating and am curious to take similar courses given by this instructor in the future.

Core Wellness courses are much more practical than many I have completed. I enjoy being able to walk away with skills that I can apply in my practice as opposed to just theories and statistics. I look forward to more courses from them.

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

I really enjoyed every presentation. Usually in participation of such productions I can gain an idea or two. But with this presentation I took every idea presented and will be able to use it in my work!!!!

This course provided a lot of helpful information about working with trauma clients and understanding attachment theory. I liked how it explored the somatic experiences of trauma and used examples to help clinicians to relate to what was being discussed.

This training exceeded my expectations. As a pre-licensed therapist, I learned so much about Sand Tray therapy, but also play therapy in general, and various seminal theories (theoretical orientations) that can inform my practice. I walked away feeling confident in implementing sand tray therapy with clients. Liana is always engaging from the very beginning of the training. Totally wonderful!

The Playborhood gave me an opportunity to learn from experts around the world and add to my toolbox as a therapist. The handouts allow me to easily go back to the material and review and have resources to use with clients.

The training was informative, useful, and interactive. There were a lot of ideas given for interventions that I will implement in my work with kids. I wasn't sure about this training when I signed up since I don't typically address client's dreams very often but the training ended up giving me ideas of ways I could incorporate the information into my current work. 

This training was great and helpful for new play therapists. I have recently completed my training in the mist of the pandemic and having additional resources during this time has been so helpful.

Kadesha's examples were excellent, relatable, and increased self-reflection. I loved how she broke down intent vs impact. Very powerful!

I found the information extremely helpful. Some of the children I work with have severe behavioral issues and are working on increasing their focus beyond 30 seconds; as such, not all of the techniques were relevant for my client demographic. But where applicable, the lessons here have been effective, particular with children who experience anxiety, lack interpersonal skills, and who experience symptoms of trauma disorders and attachment disorders. Some of the presenters gave useful, fresh ideas for telehealth with children.

This was straightforward, useful, and easy to follow. I don't directly work with many trafficking victims, but still found the information useful to be aware of.

Dr Futeral is a highly trained and skilled clinician who has much experience and expertise for others to glean from.

This training was approachable and skillfully presented. I found myself walking away with a higher understanding of translating case conceptualization to treatment planning through the framework of the therapeutic powers of play. Although the trainer come from a very different theoretical background then myself I think she did a truly wonderful job exploring treatment planning from a variety of approaches which I found very helpful!

Love, love, love the information and how it was presented on polyvagal theory and how to teach this to kids! This was AMAZING!!!

This training should be a must-do for all therapists to update and clarify understanding the differences between legal and ethical obligations of sharing protected information, as well as the boundaries necessary and reasons for the boundaries about use of social media with clients.

This training balances emphasis on the basics of online therapy with children and specific and useful interventions that can be done via telehealth with children. The interventions provided can be used with a wide array of focus/concentration abilities and a variety of symptoms/diagnoses. They are both fun to help with engagement, and grounding to help with kids who are easily amped up or dysregulated by physically active interventions. I appreciate the variety of interventions and that many of them can be implemented both via telehealth and in person.

Both instructors presented the material on enuresis and encopresis in a very informative and engaging manner. I learned applicable techniques I can use with clients (and with my own child’s bed wetting issues) such as creating a visual bathroom map to better help a child that is dealing with this issue.

Tiffani Dilworth, LCPC, is a strong presenter in the field of grief therapy. Her competence and wide experiences are evident in her training which provide the trainees assurance in developing a practical and efficient toolbox for clients. This was a very worthwhile session.

This was an excellent training that pulled from many diverse backgrounds that I would have probably never known about or experienced. I would highly recommend this to others and would love to make this an annual event.

I'm happy I attended the course. I learned a lot of tools and innovative resources to engage children online. It is hard to plan and try to retain the focus of children through a monitor, but the techniques and ideas provided are fun, and children love fun. If they do not feel like it is a session or exercise, they will look forward to meeting the counselor weekly or during the scheduled time. The facilitator did a great job giving examples and including attendees to participate. Although I was in the crowd, she made me feel like a happy kid in the session. She does an amazing job with her tone, occasional smiles and making the attendees feel welcome. I will use some of what I learned today and apply it to my practice.

I enjoyed learning from 3 different therapists and different aspects of the topic. The training focused on all involved in the therapy process - the therapist, child client, and the client’s caregivers. I appreciated being able to learn more about the topic of emotion regulation and how to incorporate it into practice with the kiddos I work with, their caregivers, and how to address my own internal states in working with my clients.

This training was so beneficial and informative; I honestly wish that it was longer and could be expanded for a couple days or even an entire week! All of the presenters were experienced, knowledgeable, and provided practical interventions for use with children and adults. As a clinical psychologist and Registered Play Therapist I have had decades of training and taken countless seminars. Lynn Louise Wonders' 20 Play Therapy Interventions for Anxiety with Older Children was a delightful surprise. Her enthusiasm and deep understanding of what it takes to engage this sometimes difficult age group by using creative and engaging strategies is the best I have ever seen. The strategies were indeed creative yet presented with succinct clarity and straightforward instructions. Sometimes these seminars can be tedious at the end of which one wonders what of this will I actually use, but every strategy she taught made intuitive sense for the play therapy process and was easy to grasp. I eager to try them. At the end, she presents several short well done psycho-educational videos that could be used directly with our clients and sprinkles the entire presentation with resources. Thank-you for this engaging educational experience .

I'm looking forward to implementing CEN into my private practice, here in Canada.

An excellent presentation on trauma and its relationship to life problems. The concept that trauma is related to the protection of the individual and is a normal protective response is a wonderful point. Five key interventions that were presented are extremely helpful

This was a great training, even virtually. I feel like a lot of play therapy trainings are challenging to make engaging while online, but Lynn does a good job of making the training come alive. Lynn is very respected in the field of play therapy and I'm excited to take more trainings with her!

This was a wonderful session that was very clear in applying what we know about neuroscience and behavior to the structure of telehealth play therapy sessions, along with excellent practical strategies that can be stargeically implemented immediately.

This training should be mandatory for all graduates and all therapists. Why was I not taught about trauma? All my clients need these interventions. 

I really enjoyed the discussion of defense mechanisms and games. I especially liked learning about mind masking, a useful technique that we as therapists should master.

Ms Dilworth made a challenging topic accessible and provided many great easily usable techniques. Thank you!

This has been the best training I have had the chance to attend. The moderator and presenters were knowledgeable and great to see so many ways that play therapy can be used and incorporated as well as the ideas that each brought to the table were stunning.

I am completely new to this platform. Training was thorough and I have needed information to provide ethical services.

This is my second attendance of this program and each time I learn something new. The information each presenter brings is full of great connection pieces, conceptualization components, and fun. It is easily accessible, understandable, and thorough. Thankful to have found this program and that I have been able to attend.

The format of this training was wonderful. We got to hear from several practitioners all over the world who practice with children and families. I gathered several techniques and methods that I will certainly be using within my therapy space with clients. All presenters were easy to listen to and very knowledgeable of their content. I would absolutely attend another with any of them as the presenters!

The instructor presented the topic of the ethics behind reporting child neglect in a clear and thorough manner, exploring such related issues as when we are mandated to report and when not, use of corporal punishment, etc.

The training was helpful in thinking of how to use and integrate expressive therapies into the supervision space

Mrs. Reed did an excellent and thorough job explaining the ethical components of documentation. We often overlook many minor components but she clearly explained why the key points are necessary for a variety of reasons.

It had helpful information in a short period of time  

  The information provided in the training about the historical court cases that have led us to the current place we are with rights for children, parents and families was incredible. I'm not much of a history person but I thoroughly enjoyed learning about those cases.

This was wonderful training. I highly recommend it if you are just getting into Sandtray as a new therapist. The content is immediately applicable, and the instructor teaches it in a not-overwhelming way.

I really enjoyed this training even though I did not attend the live webinar. I always come back to the content that was presented in this training for reference when working with clients. I do wish that self harming /SI was a topic that was discussed in this training because it is very prominent within the child/ tween age range. Overall, I thought the instructor's activities and style were great. I learned a lot from this training and am excited to come back for the next edition!

I very much enjoyed this training. The 3 hours flew by and I took several notes. I enjoyed all the presenters, and loved how it was presented worldwide. I always enjoy finding new ways to engage with new clients; to build rapport while also assessing the child. The instruction was wonderful and flowed nicely.

As a clinician, I was so grateful to find this course. My graduate studies did not prepare me for treating eating disorders. This material has been informative and timely.

Wonderful presentation with a variety of hands-on techniques to utilize with clients. The best part, other than the variety, was the international component to it.  I believe that helps us to feel globally connected and realize our clients have similar issues globally (normalizing). Each presenter was very knowledgeable and provided clear understanding of how to utilize the techniques.  

I really appreciated the instructor's knowledge and style of presenting material. It is often easy to get distracted or lost in webinars but Lynn was engaging and the content remained applicable and interesting throughout. It was a great mix of looking at symptoms, assessment, treatment, parent communication, resource sharing, etc.

I have always struggled to find ethics courses that are interesting and also cover the requirement social workers need to renew their license. I was pleasantly surprised with this one! It was very interesting, interactive, kept my attention and I learned many new things. Highly recommend.

I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! These techniques can help anyone with Bipolar, their loved ones, or anyone experiencing life stressors. Sheri was very easy to listen to and the time flew by.

The instructor presented several interventions that can easily be used. She also shared how to modify things to a virtual setting and important considerations.

This was a great training that validates the Prescriptive way of practicing the art of therapy.
