This training on school refusal was so helpful and practical. Instructor Lynn Louise Wonders shared a wealth of knowledge of what could be happening for a child as well as provided different theoretical responses that can be used to work with children and families as they work through the challenges of such. Lynn also provided several valuable resources that can be used and purchased when working with such families. I found the training to be extremely helpful and tactile. I would strongly recommend this training to anyone who is considering taking such.

This a helpful and useful training. It covered the basic understanding bipolar disorder and the different types, comorbidities and lightly covered treatment options. The trainer was well versed and easy to understand. After this learning session I signed up for the next session regarding treatment. I look forward to learning more about this issue .

The instructor presented the topic of tackling trauma in play therapy in an engaging and very clear manner, explaining concepts such as the use of touch in play therapy, and it’s pros and cons as well as other interventions that can best help children experiencing trauma navigate the inevitable issues that arise.

This is a good approach to dealing with various forms of Anxiety, especially tailored towards COVID-19 situation is especially helpful.

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how many of the ideas presented I will actually be able to use in my practice as a school social worker.  Presenters' techniques were presented clearly and I am excited to try these ideas right away.

Sitting on Zoom for two days covering theory and content can be tough, but not with this course! Dr. April is amazing. She organized and delivered this training in a way that kept me tuned in, engaged, and wanting more. This is the 2nd Playborhood event I have attended, and each time I have been truly inspired and leave eager to try some of the new interventions I learned. I love hearing from clinicians from all over the world and to see how Liana has drawn everyone together to create this engaging forum. I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! These techniques can help anyone with Bipolar, their loved ones, or anyone experiencing life stressors. Sheri was very easy to listen to and the time flew by.

As a clinical psychologist and Registered Play Therapist I have had decades of training and taken countless seminars. Lynn Louise Wonders' 20 Play Therapy Interventions for Anxiety with Older Children was a delightful surprise. Her enthusiasm and deep understanding of what it takes to engage this sometimes difficult age group by using creative and engaging strategies is the best I have ever seen. The strategies were indeed creative yet presented with succinct clarity and straightforward instructions. Sometimes these seminars can be tedious at the end of which one wonders what of this will I actually use, but every strategy she taught made intuitive sense for the play therapy process and was easy to grasp. I eager to try them. At the end, she presents several short well done psycho-educational videos that could be used directly with our clients and sprinkles the entire presentation with resources. Thank-you for this engaging educational experience .

This was most probably the best course I've attended in a long while. It was jam packed with simple but really effective ideas that can be used with a range of clients, children, young people and even adults in both individual work and group/family therapy work. Each speaker presented their technique with knowledge and enthusiasm and it was really easy to see how I could apply these to my own practice. I will definitely be looking out for next years conference.

I wasn't sure about this training when I signed up since I don't typically address client's dreams very often but the training ended up giving me ideas of ways I could incorporate the information into my current work. 

I really enjoyed learning about IFS and how to integrate it into my practice with couples as well as individuals. IFS contains a lot of what I have been looking for in addressing how we can release ourselves from the pain of our pasts and heal from those childhood hurts and trauma that impact us all. The presentation was straightforward, concise and informative. It left me feeling like this is something that I can do and be good at. I look forward to advanced training in this area.

This training was excellent is teaching child clinicians about this common but little known childhood challenge. I liked the history, the interventions, and the encouragement that parents need to be involved.

This training was helpful in working with clients of all ages but especially children. The training was informative and easy paced for understanding how to create a "calming" space, using muscle memory, the senses, and more.

As a seasoned LCSW, I learned a lot completing this training. I wished I had it at the beginning of my career. I plan to use a lot of the interventions in my practice as I have a lot of anxious children due to COVID. If you have bought or use Liana Lowenstein books in your therapy practice, taking her courses can help you see the interventions and psychoeducation in action. Highly recommend!

A very high level of competence and command over a very large breadth and depth of material, that's not at all strictly "textbook" knowledge, or too "clinical." Lots of grounded, real-world application and examples, along with plenty of insights, implications, and tips, that are clearly from actual experience, and typically not found in the textbooks or academic settings.

This was a great training with well-informed, thoughtful instruction from Lynn Louise Wonders and several (video) guest speakers. It was nice to have an instructor realize her own limitations as a white woman and invite guest speakers to present on their lived experiences.

This was a straight to the point training but still had an abundance of information. A one-hour CE training was conducive to my work day and it provided me with helpful tools. Dr. Joseph Tropper is very knowledgeable and personable, and I look forward to attending more trainings with him.

I thought the training was great in teaching applicable and concrete interventions for play therapy. I enjoyed the connection presenters made with their technique and how to interpret it in different modalities. I enjoyed how the various techniques covered various age ranges and presenting concerns.

This training exceeded my expectations. As a pre-licensed therapist, I learned so much about Sand Tray therapy, but also play therapy in general, and various seminal theories (theoretical orientations) that can inform my practice. I walked away feeling confident in implementing sand tray therapy with clients. Dr. April is clearly knowledgeable, and is a skilled therapist, as well as presenter - she made the training fun, authentic and engaging (even as someone that watched the recorded session). It was nice to have the option to take this as a recorded training so I could complete it on my own time, and at my own pace.

Eye-opening and curiosity-provoking

This training gave practical knowledge and skills to help various clients using play-therapy techniques. It gave specific interventions to use with clients, a very brief theoretical framework and showed how to use the interventions with clients. The instructors were straight and to the point. It was very easy to listen to.

The instructor presented the topic of child protection versus parental rights, and subsequently child right, and grandparent rights in a very interesting and engaging manner. She gave a thorough lesson of how various court cases have shaped these rights over time. Ethics and law in therapy is not always the most engaging topic and yet I found the topic/course fascinating and am curious to take similar courses given by this instructor in the future.

I loved Dr. Tropper's rapid-fire pace in his presentation. My brain responds positively to that pace and information is received and stored more effectively. I was able to stay focused throughout, since he used engaging slides and personal examples, all in the rapid-fire mode!

This was an excellent training. As a supervisor who has been in the field for many years, I usually take trainings as a requirement and feel a bit of dread when hearing the same themes over and over again. This training was great because it allowed me to observe how others in similar and different situations use the strategies provided. Excellent clinical review of eating disorder treatment using FBT, IMT. Explained clearly from the medical and psychological viewpoint the severity and complexity of treating eating disorder clients, and reinforced the necessity of this specialization due to the lethality of this population.

I was a jolly child watching it! It was very informative and I can safely say I"m ready to work with children.

This was one of the few trainings that I have experienced in which the presenter provided practical therapeutic activities and discussed processing. Most trainings on this topic are heavy on statistics and factors, I appreciate how this presentation provided facts as well as encouraged creativity in the counseling room.

In was really inspiring and eye opening. I came out feeling so happy and enriched with all the new information I could incorporate into daily practice.

Dr. Kurtz was extremely knowledgeable, but did a wonderful job making the audience feel as though we could take these skills to our own practice. Sometimes overly complicated trainings leave you feeling less capable but that was 100% not the case here.

This training was very helpful in supporting my work as a trauma focused play therapist. It was nice to receive a refresher or learn how to integrate techniques into the teletherapy platform I use for some clients. If you can gain a few new techniques I would say this training is very worth it! Not to mention a few CEUs! I was very impressed by the diversity of presenters not only demographically but also theoretical background and orientation.

I was impressed at how organized this presentation was. I thought the host(s) were very knowledgeable and interesting. The tech was easy to navigate and super accessible. Clearly everyone involved with this put in a lot of hard work to make such a large prevention with multiple presenters flow so smoothly. 

I really enjoyed this session. It offered practical interventions in a fun way. I love when I leave a session feeling like I have another idea in my toolbag.

Kathryn Krase presented the material in a helpful and organized manner. Her background and wealth of knowledge is impressive! I'm looking forward to hearing her speak again on various topics.

This was the clearest, most well-organized and comprehensive training I've seen that addresses teens' behaviors in the context of developmental needs and what is occurring in their brains that make their behaviors make sense (and what to do when the behaviors are problematic). Excellent presentation!

This training was so beneficial and informative; I honestly wish that it was longer and could be expanded for a couple days or even an entire week! All of the presenters were experienced, knowledgeable, and provided practical interventions for use with children and adults. I appreciated the diversity and representation from around the world, along with cultural considerations provided. All of the resources that were given to supplement this live webinar are the cherry on top of wonderful presenters and a well-organized program! I would definitely recommend this training or any future trainings provided by this excellent team of experts! 

I found the information extremely helpful. Some of the children I work with have severe behavioral issues and are working on increasing their focus beyond 30 seconds; as such, not all of the techniques were relevant for my client demographic. But where applicable, the lessons here have been effective, particular with children who experience anxiety, lack interpersonal skills, and who experience symptoms of trauma disorders and attachment disorders. Some of the presenters gave useful, fresh ideas for telehealth with children.

This program was invaluable to me. I feel now more confident in my abilities to better help students and their parents learn how to regulate themselves.

Excellent training. I learned several new techniques to use with clients and their families. I really appreciated the diversity within the presenting panel and their wide range of experience. I look forward to pursuing more training with some of them in the future.

This training was very informative and provided so many useful interventions.  I left with so many new tools and strategies that I can use in sessions with children and families. 

Core Wellness has provided some very good trainings and this was one of the best. I think it is well worth any clinician's time to take this training. I learned from three talented instructors both about theory and about interventions to use in practice with clients around regulation and anger.

I really liked the Sexual Trauma Healing Program. I think it is a good structure. I also appreciate Dr. Tropper's explanation for asking questions regarding drinking and other addictive habits, as clients may not be upfront about their use.

As a Trainee Playtherapist & Creative Psychotherapist I found the Webinar extremely interesting and beneficial. It provided a wealth of knowledge drawing on experienced professionals from all over the world. As well as providing new information, it provided insight into the variety of different ways that people are working in the same/similar fields. It was inspiring.

This training was tremendously useful. I always walk away from away from Ms. Hartstein's trainings with tons of new ideas and this was no exception. Today my notes include 60 interventions that I can use with my clients, and I'm so excited to try them out! I also love how she weaves together a variety of play therapy modalities -- her training is focused on CBT but includes dramatic play, music, games, art, role play, narrative tools, bibliotherapy, and more. I highly recommend this training!

Lianna's trainings are always on point and genuine. Her techniques are easy but not simple in that they permeate layers to allow for practical help and healing.

There were so many interesting techniques that I heard about during this training. It was great to hear from so many experts and to learn about so many different techniques used with children, teens and families. I am not doing direct therapy right now but thought it would be interesting to hear about some of the techniques that are being used. It was very enlightening. Please continue to offer this training.

Presenter was clear and concise. Distinction between the various diagnoses in DSM of Bipolar were quite helpful. She used many examples from her own practice and research which was quite impressive. The time allotted could have been increased, but due to the short nature, I was able to return to my workday without interruption. Her resources are great and I am planning to purchase the workbooks that she recommended. I am looking forward to next week's training as well.

This training should be mandatory for all graduates and all therapists. Why was I not taught about trauma? All my clients need these interventions.

There were many different therapeutic approaches that I was introduced to today that would be beneficial to add to my current practice. As a clinician that was attending just to gain some more insight into play therapy as I have not used it in some time, I wanted to learn some strategies to apply to my work with adolescents on the Autism Spectrum. I thought this was a great and informative training. It was easy to follow and apply to your own personal professional development. Sueann Kenney-Noziska and Liana Lowenstein provided so much insight on how to facilitate a strong supervisory experience and how best to meet supervisee's where they are at in their professional and educational training. I appreciated the variety of interventions and techniques that could be adapted with client's and families as well as with supervisee's. The handouts and examples are wonderful and super helpful! I appreciated how they engaged the audience during the presentation and allowed for feedback and other's to participate or share experiences. The role playing was helpful to listen to as well. This was a very engaging, fun, and valuable training to listen to!. I would definitely recommend!

I was so impressed by this training! The knowledge of the instructor really helped me grasp how trauma shows up in the experiences of the clients I work with, and I felt like I was learning things I could apply in my practice even today.

The presenters were very knowledgeable and creative, and effectively instructed us on how to implement their innovative techniques into sessions to achieving various therapeutic goals. The techniques were simple and done with common, everyday materials, but are potentially very impactful. The instructor presented the topic of the ethics behind reporting child neglect in a clear and thorough manner, exploring such related issues as when we are mandated to report and when not, use of corporal punishment, etc.

This training balances emphasis on the basics of online therapy with children and specific and useful interventions that can be done via telehealth with children. The interventions provided can be used with a wide array of focus/concentration abilities and a variety of symptoms/diagnoses. They are both fun to help with engagement, and grounding to help with kids who are easily amped up or dysregulated by physically active interventions. I appreciate the variety of interventions and that many of them can be implemented both via telehealth and in person.

I thought the instructor was knowledgeable, but the training would have been more beneficial if there were more interventions that didn't require buying a lot of supplies. Also, I would have liked to see interventions that were simpler and would not take up the entire session or multiple sessions. Plus, things that are less messy would have been helpful because in my setting I don't have a sink nearby to wash up messes from paint or slime.

You taught me to meet clients where they are at instead of pushing for my own agenda for them to immediately address trauma. 

This was an informative training with great techniques to use in therapy sessions with children and their families. There is a good discussion of the rationale behind the techniques as well as how they can be modified.

The presenter presented this very difficult topic in an engaging, clear and concise manner. She effectively communicated different techniques we can use to help our own patients in treatment to better help them with their grief.
