While it is true that to effectively diagnose and treat eating disorders, an acquired training and experience is vital, there is much room for help and collaboration from an educated therapist, who has a framework and strong sense of professional competency.
This course fills you in with information that you wish you had learned before! It will help you identify eating disorders, understand the importance of proper referral, provide collaboration and also empower you to utilize and develop further treatment skills.

Learning Objectives:
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify people with eating disorders in your practice
- Recall a clear process to refer clients with eating disorders to appropriate levels of care.
- Learn five core concepts of evidence-based treatment of eating disorders (i.e. case conceptualization, inevitability acceptance, self-eclipsing disorders, etc.) and which treatment manuals are the best places to start learning about providing care this care.
