As mental health therapists, we want to be helpful to our clients. The number one mental health concern is that of anxiety. This is even more relevant during times of world and local crisis. Triggers of anxiety are ever-present. We need to learn effective interventions for diagnosing and addressing such issues with our clients. This course will cover the treatment of anxiety, with a focus on trauma mitigation for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly.
This course will educate and empower you to use effective evidence-based interventions for diagnosing anxiety, in multiple forms, and effectively treating anxiety, from mild to severe. We will cover neurobiological, emotional, familial and societal causes of generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, OCD and trauma and how the differential diagnosis impacts your treatment plan. You will learn effective lifestyle and clinical interventions that will help clients find calmness and coping skills that work.
Learn techniques for regulating physiology including breathing, treatment options and appropriate exposure. Learn cognitive interventions that address emotional turmoil. Learn somatic interventions that address deep rooted emotional issues in clients. including for mild, to severe anxiety and trauma-related cases.
This course is a must for anyone treating anxiety and/or trauma and will add great skill and value that instantly translates into better treatment outcomes for those whom you are working with.
