Course Description:
Note: This course can be purchased now on pre-order sale and the video will be sent to you on August 26, 200 after the live event.

Grief has become a more discussed topic around the world. Research and analysis are consistently conducted to understand grief and its impact. New types of grief and assessments are discovered to more effectively support those who have experienced a loss. Clinicians often struggle with conceptualizing grief and knowing which Grief Assessments to use with their clients. Your understanding and insight on the different types of grief and available Grief Assessments can greatly impact our client’s progress in treatment.

This training will explore the different types of grief and their symptoms and discuss Persistent Complex Bereavement Disorder and Prolonged Grief Disorder that’s located in the DSM-5. Participants will learn about current Grief Assessments to help with case conceptualization when working with grieving clients in order to provide a more effective treatment plan.
Original recording date: August 25, 2022 Length: 2 hours
Learning Objectives:
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize and explain different types of grief and their symptoms.
  • Recall how different types of grief can impact the progression of treatment.
  • Implement 1-2 Grief Assessments for possible bereavement complications.
