I am thankful for the download handouts from this course and all other lists, charts etc. Dr. Jonice Webb provides, as they are very helpful in sessions, walking my clients through the treatment of CEN. I'm looking forward to implementing CEN into my private practice, here in Canada.

I think that this training was very informative. It offered a number of different interventions with clear examples that were specific to the work of children's mental health. I also love how there were presentations from different cultures. It demonstrated that diversity is so important with working with kiddos and allowed for a safe space for the therapists as well!

This training was incredibly helpful. I received an overview of helpful therapies and resources to learn more and receive certifications in those therapies. With certain therapy styles, I've learned enough today to get started with clients if I wanted. I learned so many informative techniques to use with clients and plan to implement in my session this evening. I appreciated that the techniques were diverse and catered to the needs and mindsets of clients at varying points of the healing process and with different preferred healing and learning modalities.

This training was an excellent place to learn specific activities to implement in my practice. The presenters were knowledgeable on their topic and brought to the table alternatives with the activities supplies if you are unable to obtain what they used for the activity. I loved learning the science behind the activities and how to discuss afterwards with our clients.

I really liked the Sexual Trauma Healing Program. I think it is a good structure. I also appreciate Dr. Tropper's explanation for asking questions regarding drinking and other addictive habits, as clients may not be upfront about their use.

I think this was one of my favorite trainings ever! I love the examples and the explanations of how to use them and why they work. This is hands on material that will help me in my daily work with clients!

This training was very helpful in supporting my work as a trauma focused play therapist. It was nice to receive a refresher or learn how to integrate techniques into the teletherapy platform I use for some clients. If you can gain a few new techniques I would say this training is very worth it! Not to mention a few CEUs! I was very impressed by the diversity of presenters not only demographically but also theoretical background and orientation. 

This was an informative training with great techniques to use in therapy sessions with children and their families. There is a good discussion of the rationale behind the techniques as well as how they can be modified.

Lynn provides a cohesive and well presented overview of the IDM and DM models and how they can be utilized with experienced supervisees. I highly recommend your investment of time in this training.

I thought it was a wonderful idea to bring together play therapist's from around the world. I was able to see the differences and similarities between all of the instructor's. I thought it was extremely helpful to see the techniques demonstrated. I appreciated the inclusion of theoretical orientation and discussion sections. I will be utilizing these techniques in my practice as a play therapist. I hope that more of these trainings will be done in the future.

I think that the presentation was well-organized. It was great and interesting to hear from others around the world. It gave me new knowledge, and fun activities that I will certainly use with the children I work with.

  The information provided in the training about the historical court cases that have led us to the current place we are with rights for children, parents and families was incredible. I'm not much of a history person but I thoroughly enjoyed learning about those cases.

There were many new techniques presented today that I feel I want to add to my toolbox and begin implementing with my kiddos.

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

Before attending this training, I was uncertain about the therapeutic value of some games and which ones to include in the playroom, so I now have another tool for my kit. The instructor was very knowledgeable, and a great reflection on how she has incorporated games, into her sessions with children, the dialogue that can take place during gameplay was also very useful.

A very high level of competence and command over a very large breadth and depth of material, that's not at all strictly "textbook" knowledge, or too "clinical." Lots of grounded, real-world application and examples, along with plenty of insights, implications, and tips, that are clearly from actual experience, and typically not found in the textbooks or academic settings.

This training was absolutely exceptional. I loved all of it. From the resources to share with parents, the assessment and treatment plan ideas, to the examples from her own practice. Further to that also sharing the many resources and developmentally fitting strategies that she has spent much time learning about and then creating herself as well. I so appreciate the generosity and am so excited to share this with the children and families coming in to see me next week!

I really appreciated the instructor's knowledge and style of presenting material. It is often easy to get distracted or lost in webinars but Lynn was engaging and the content remained applicable and interesting throughout. Sitting on Zoom for two days covering theory and content can be tough, but not with this course! Dr. April is amazing. This was an amazing training. Liana Lowenstein is one of the most engaging presenters. I love that even though it was a recorded webinar, it felt live.

The format of this training was wonderful. We got to hear from several practitioners all over the world who practice with children and families. I gathered several techniques and methods that I will certainly be using within my therapy space with clients. All presenters were easy to listen to and very knowledgeable of their content. I would absolutely attend another with any of them as the presenters!

Core Wellness courses are much more practical than many I have completed. I enjoy being able to walk away with skills that I can apply in my practice as opposed to just theories and statistics. I look forward to more courses from them.

I'm happy I attended the course. I learned a lot of tools and innovative resources to engage children online. It is hard to plan and try to retain the focus of children through a monitor, but the techniques and ideas provided are fun, and children love fun. If they do not feel like it is a session or exercise, they will look forward to meeting the counselor weekly or during the scheduled time. The facilitator did a great job giving examples and including attendees to participate. Although I was in the crowd, she made me feel like a happy kid in the session. She does an amazing job with her tone, occasional smiles and making the attendees feel welcome. I will use some of what I learned today and apply it to my practice.

Very informative and helpful

This was a straight to the point training but still had an abundance of information. A one-hour CE training was conducive to my work day and it provided me with helpful tools. Dr. Joseph Tropper is very knowledgeable and personable, and I look forward to attending more trainings with him.

As a clinician that was attending just to gain some more insight into play therapy as I have not used it in some time, I wanted to learn some strategies to apply to my work with adolescents on the Autism Spectrum. It was unbelievable. I learned so many techniques to use right away!

Excellent clinical review of eating disorder treatment using FBT, IMT. Explained clearly from the medical and psychological viewpoint the severity and complexity of treating eating disorder clients, and reinforced the necessity of this specialization due to the lethality of this population.

I found the information extremely helpful. Some of the children I work with have severe behavioral issues and are working on increasing their focus beyond 30 seconds; as such, not all of the techniques were relevant for my client demographic. But where applicable, the lessons here have been effective, particular with children who experience anxiety, lack interpersonal skills, and who experience symptoms of trauma disorders and attachment disorders. Some of the presenters gave useful, fresh ideas for telehealth with children.

  Material was presented in a passionate, personable and relatable way. I already recommended the webinar to a friend on the break!

I must say I enjoyed all three parts of this course.

As a clinical psychologist and Registered Play Therapist I have had decades of training and taken countless seminars. Lynn Louise Wonders' 20 Play Therapy Interventions for Anxiety with Older Children was a delightful surprise. Her enthusiasm and deep understanding of what it takes to engage this sometimes difficult age group by using creative and engaging strategies is the best I have ever seen. The strategies were indeed creative yet presented with succinct clarity and straightforward instructions. Sometimes these seminars can be tedious at the end of which one wonders what of this will I actually use, but every strategy she taught made intuitive sense for the play therapy process and was easy to grasp. I eager to try them. At the end, she presents several short well done psycho-educational videos that could be used directly with our clients and sprinkles the entire presentation with resources. Thank-you for this engaging educational experience .

She presented detailed instruction on evidence based psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia as well as associated treatments and strategies to best help our clients (and even ourselves) struggling with insomnia.

I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! I found this very useful as there were many practical strategies shared which could be used now, straightaway. 

This was most probably the best course I've attended in a long while. It was jam packed with simple but really effective ideas that can be used with a range of clients, children, young people and even adults in both individual work and group/family therapy work. Each speaker presented their technique with knowledge and enthusiasm and it was really easy to see how I could apply these to my own practice. I will definitely be looking out for next years conference.

A fantastic brief overview of eating disorders that is not negative towards different body types and recognizes how to treat clients experiencing EDs of all types. Offered many different clinical interventions as well as when to make the decision to refer to higher levels of care.

I really liked all the videos! It was great all around. I learned how to hear, empathize and communicate with couples effectively. The 10 points to focus on when working with couples. Also, communication and empathy is key.

Lots of us helping professionals were suddenly faced with the challenge of moving a lot of our work online due to the pandemic. There is no doubt that engaging children online is often more challenging than in-person and it can be hard to find new online interventions at times. I loved the enthusiasm of (most of) the presenters! They were engaging & fun & their passion for the work they do truly shined through! I loved all the resources shared, and never felt I was sitting through a 'sales pitch'! It is ever so important to have a variety of resources available - many of the presenters happily shared options! There were a few presenters who simply 'read' their power point - (not as engaging!); and one or two who spoke WAY too fast for anyone who was taking notes (good thing there is access to the recording!). Overall, however - the "learning" was fun, the information relevant (& current) and the variety of presenters and backgrounds & theory bases made for an excellent presentation! ...AND a fun-filled way to start my day! Thank you! ;-)

This was straightforward, useful, and easy to follow. I don't directly work with many trafficking victims, but still found the information useful to be aware of.

I am much more informed about the concept of eating disorders and how they manifest and present in patients. Also several good interventions to the treatment process.

The content was well organized and planned. The presenters were fantastic and well prepared. Interventions were clearly modeled and I walked away with many great resources for my therapy tool bag.

I gained a true understanding that Imago Therapy is a model that promotes connection within the space between where couples often don't spend safe and quality time strengthening their relationships. I truly believe Imago is a game-changer and can offer stonger connections not only between romantic partners, but other dyadic relationships.

The course can be useful to daycare providers, foster care parents and anyone in a caregiver role. What I likes the most s was how to predict good behavior before it begins. To indirectly tell a child the behavior you want them to do. And also the empowering piece by saying “oh you know how to make a plan to get the game.”

I found Dr. Treisman's training on using play and expressive arts to help traumatized children self-regulate to be extremely helpful because of the attention and care given to pacing and strategies for facilitating the integration of the regulatory skills based on the neuroscience of developmental and relational trauma.

She presented it in a clear and concise manner without minimizing any of the material. I loved the case vignettes and actual dialogue examples that she gave.

This was an exceptionally clear presentation that provided specific hands-on strategies that can be used with youths and their families. Well-grounded in theory AND very practical.

This training exceeded my expectations. As a pre-licensed therapist, I learned so much about Sand Tray therapy, but also play therapy in general, and various seminal theories (theoretical orientations) that can inform my practice. I walked away feeling confident in implementing sand tray therapy with clients. Dr. April is clearly knowledgeable, and is a skilled therapist, as well as presenter - she made the training fun, authentic and engaging (even as someone that watched the recorded session). It was nice to have the option to take this as a recorded training so I could complete it on my own time, and at my own pace.

I enjoyed the training, it was very informational and the best part was to take practical techniques to use with clients. The presentation was organized and clear.

I thought the instructor was knowledgeable, but the training would have been more beneficial if there were more interventions that didn't require buying a lot of supplies. Also, I would have liked to see interventions that were simpler and would not take up the entire session or multiple sessions. Plus, things that are less messy would have been helpful because in my setting I don't have a sink nearby to wash up messes from paint or slime.

This was an excellent training that pulled from many diverse backgrounds that I would have probably never known about or experienced. I would highly recommend this to others and would love to make this an annual event.

This was a great training over cultural competency. This is a topic that each and every person in the helping field could benefit from not just social workers. The information was easy to understand and comprehend. I look forward to more trainings with this presenter and agency.

This training was helpful in working with clients of all ages but especially children. The training was informative and easy paced for understanding how to create a "calming" space, using muscle memory, the senses, and more.

An excellent presentation on trauma and its relationship to life problems. The concept that trauma is related to the protection of the individual and is a normal protective response is a wonderful point. Five key interventions that were presented are extremely helpful

Dr. Ohnogi was very thorough in her presentation and provided some good, creative activities.

I really found this training to meet all the objectives it laid out. It not only affirmed some of the things I already knew, but it also provided me with new language to present to my clients and parents in how to understand anger and emotion dysregulation. The instructors were clear in their explanations and provided really great hands-on play therapy techniques for real-world scenarios.

This was a good course. I learned a lot and I am excited to implement these ideas.

This training was great because it allowed me to observe how others in similar and different situations use the strategies provided. I thought the instructor was friendly and gave honest feeback as to how the strategies can be effective. The content was great and I would like to further see how other therapist from around the world provide therapy. The style of the training was easy to understand.

Ms. Lynn Louise Wonders is a very knowledge and experienced play therapist who provides informative information, playful interventions, and recourses regard to the use of puppets to work with the children and adolescents to facilitate the participant’s professional learning and growth.

The instructor presented the topic of child protection versus parental rights, and subsequently child right, and grandparent rights in a very interesting and engaging manner. She gave a thorough lesson of how various court cases have shaped these rights over time. Ethics and law in therapy is not always the most engaging topic and yet I found the topic/course fascinating and am curious to take similar courses given by this instructor in the future.

Her approach is detailed and easy to follow.

This training was jam packed with useful parenting skills for the child and adult patient. Great resources provided.

This course was SO helpful! Makes me want to work with kids more. Most of my clients are adults and I'm thinking how I can apply some of this to those with lower IQ, lower functioning.

There was so much packed into this hour and it all flowed seamlessly together in a way that built upon the concepts. The instructor has an easy and pleasant manner and is obviously passionate about the topic.

The instructor was very knowledgeable and presented the material in an engaging manner explaining how to help out clients to work through sexual trauma and grief and providing concrete interventions we can use in our own sessions with clients.

I really enjoyed how approachable and understandable Dr. Deliberto was for this training. The information was presented in a way that I was easily able to translate what I learned into practice and was immediately able to treatment plan for patients I currently am seeing. I also was able to bookmark key information to use as needed moving forward.

This training was very well done and so helpful during this time when clinicians are heavily engaging in teletherapy. I feel I can utilize each technique presented because they were presented and explained so well. The handout given along with this training is also very well put together and greatly assists me in facilitating various interventions.

This was an excellent training. As a supervisor who has been in the field for many years, I usually take trainings as a requirement and feel a bit of dread when hearing the same themes over and over again. It provided information appropriately and in a concise and useful manner.

I enjoyed learning from 3 different therapists and different aspects of the topic. The training focused on all involved in the therapy process - the therapist, child client, and the client’s caregivers. I appreciated being able to learn more about the topic of emotion regulation and how to incorporate it into practice with the kiddos I work with, their caregivers, and how to address my own internal states in working with my clients.

A truly helpful resource to a clinician who encounters disordered eating at a variety of levels. Easy to understand and includes practical interventions to utilize in practice as well as helpful information for when increased or medical treatment is necessary.

I really enjoyed this training even though I did not attend the live webinar. I always come back to the content that was presented in this training for reference when working with clients. I do wish that self harming /SI was a topic that was discussed in this training because it is very prominent within the child/ tween age range. Overall, I thought the instructor's activities and style were great. I learned a lot from this training and am excited to come back for the next edition!

The presenter was extremely knowledgeable regarding the topic. I appreciated her background as a social worker and an attorney. Her scope of practice allowed for the presentation to include a diverse lens of ethics.

This training was a wonderful training. Due to COVID and switching to telemental health it has been a struggle to engage younger kids, but this training has provided me with some great activities that will assist me in assisting my clients virtually. I would recommend this training to any one interested in learning new interactive techniques.

I liked hearing about various interventions, how to apply them and their purpose with creative ideas. All the presenters seemed knowledgeable and I enjoyed the variety of approaches presented.

This was a great training with many practical activities and interventions to use with clients. The presenter was engaging, answered questions throughout and was very creative in showing actual videos of how the interventions work with clients. Super helpful for my work with children and teens with a variety of diagnoses.

This training is a great way to get the hours required by APT for seminal and historical theories in play therapy for the RPT certification. It is thorough and concise.

You taught me to meet clients where they are at instead of pushing for my own agenda for them to immediately address trauma.

This was probably the most useful workshop on play therapy that I've been to so far. It was straightforward and to the point of the research, the activity, the purpose, and the effectiveness. Each presenter seemed very knowledgeable on their topic, and I loved that presenters were from across the globe.

I thought it was great. A nice variety of topics. The presenters were great and took a perfect amount of time.

As a social worker, I greatly enjoyed the continued education training provided to my organization on the overview of trauma informed care. Its great to hear about other specialties in the field and get insight to their work. I absolutely loved this Playborhood training! I loved hearing all the different ideas that people from across the world had. I especially enjoyed how these activities covered several different types of theoretical orientations as well, meaning that there was something for every therapist who attended regardless of their theoretical orientation. This was a very fast-paced training so I had to write quickly when taking notes. I am very thankful for the HUGE resource handouts as well!
