This training on school refusal was so helpful and practical. Instructor Lynn Louise Wonders shared a wealth of knowledge of what could be happening for a child as well as provided different theoretical responses that can be used to work with children and families as they work through the challenges of such. Lynn also provided several valuable resources that can be used and purchased when working with such families. I found the training to be extremely helpful and tactile. I would strongly recommend this training to anyone who is considering taking such.

This was an extremely upbeat and helpful training that provided some helpful and fun strategies that I can put to use immediately.

A very high level of competence and command over a very large breadth and depth of material, that's not at all strictly "textbook" knowledge, or too "clinical." Lots of grounded, real-world application and examples, along with plenty of insights, implications, and tips, that are clearly from actual experience, and typically not found in the textbooks or academic settings.

Kadesha Adelakun is a wise guide in navigating cultural and racial considerations for play therapists. She is an important voice in the counseling community, celebrating the dignity of every unique individual and their story.

Invigorating and inspiring, such a refreshing view of couplehood.

I was able to immediately start using what I learned in training with my client that was scheduled after the training. She was very interested in the mood chart and I will definitely be exploring the various resources the instructor provided. I liked her own case examples, her use of resources and comfort level with the population she spoke about.

The presenter was engaging and presented the subject matter of why teens engage in self injurious behavior and techniques we can use to help treat these patients in therapy in a clear and constructive manner. I would be interested in other workshops by this instructor in the future.

I really enjoyed learning about IFS and how to integrate it into my practice with couples as well as individuals. IFS contains a lot of what I have been looking for in addressing how we can release ourselves from the pain of our pasts and heal from those childhood hurts and trauma that impact us all. The presentation was straightforward, concise and informative. It left me feeling like this is something that I can do and be good at. I look forward to advanced training in this area.

This course provided a lot of helpful information about working with trauma clients and understanding attachment theory. I liked how it explored the somatic experiences of trauma and used examples to help clinicians to relate to what was being discussed.

As a clinical psychologist and Registered Play Therapist I have had decades of training and taken countless seminars. Lynn Louise Wonders' 20 Play Therapy Interventions for Anxiety with Older Children was a delightful surprise. Her enthusiasm and deep understanding of what it takes to engage this sometimes difficult age group by using creative and engaging strategies is the best I have ever seen. The strategies were indeed creative yet presented with succinct clarity and straightforward instructions. Sometimes these seminars can be tedious at the end of which one wonders what of this will I actually use, but every strategy she taught made intuitive sense for the play therapy process and was easy to grasp. I eager to try them. At the end, she presents several short well done psycho-educational videos that could be used directly with our clients and sprinkles the entire presentation with resources. Thank-you for this engaging educational experience .

I am always impressed by the trainings from Core Wellness CEU. Every one I have taken has truly been well-prepared, interactive, and engaging. The Somatic Interventions for Trauma Training that was offered by Dawn Bigler in May 2023 was informative, engaging, and well prepared. It was one of the rare trainings where I did not notice the time passing because I was so engrossed and learning so much.

Dr Treisman embodies warmth, compassion, and skill. In this presentation, she teaches co-regulation as an experience. I felt the regulation through her teaching methods and found myself highly engaged and wanting to hear more. This is a challenge these days after SO many lessons being delivered virtually, but she is truly a gifted speaker.

This was the clearest, most well-organized and comprehensive training I've seen that addresses teens' behaviors in the context of developmental needs and what is occurring in their brains that make their behaviors make sense (and what to do when the behaviors are problematic). The presenter was extremely knowledgeable regarding the topic. I appreciated her background as a social worker and an attorney. Her scope of practice allowed for the presentation to include a diverse lens of ethics.

I liked that several different styles, modalities, and interventions were presented. It was helpful in making sure there was something to take away from the training for everyone (hopefully) as well as ideas for working with different age groups.

Great training with very practical interventions!

The training today was so impressive! To be able to hear from Play Therapists from around the world on the techniques that they use in practice was so helpful. We are all over the world and yet we are the same, doing the same work, and changing lives for the better. Brilliant!

Wonderful training with lots of hands on activities to integrate the techniques.

The instructor was very knowledgeable about the legal and ethical implications about being a mandated reporter for child abuse. This difficult topic was presented in a caring, interesting, and comprehensive manner giving participants the tools and confidence needed to address such concerns if they arise in our own practices.

It was very information and well presented with appropriate rationale for why termination is important along with creative techniques.

Before attending this training, I was uncertain about the therapeutic value of some games and which ones to include in the playroom, so I now have another tool for my kit. The instructor was very knowledgeable, and a great reflection on how she has incorporated games, into her sessions with children, the dialogue that can take place during gameplay was also very useful.

As a pre-licensed therapist, I learned so much about Sand Tray therapy, but also play therapy in general, and various seminal theories (theoretical orientations) that can inform my practice. I walked away feeling confident in implementing sand tray therapy with clients. Dr. April is clearly knowledgeable, and is a skilled therapist, as well as presenter - she made the training fun, authentic and engaging (even as someone that watched the recorded session). It was nice to have the option to take this as a recorded training so I could complete it on my own time, and at my own pace.

Great course, learned good techniques for my practice

This provided clinicians with a whole new way to address anger in the therapy setting. Especially on learning how to meet the child or adolescent on their level. Developing a non-reactive approach to their behaviors and getting into deeper reasons why the anger was expressed in this manner.

I thought this was fantastic. I appreciated the presenter's enthusiasm and I really enjoyed her context. She gave direct techniques to immediately put into practice. I can walk into a session tonight and be prepared with new ideas from Liana. I love the "dot on my screen if you agree". I work in a high school so this would be great activity the students can use on Jamboard.

This was an excellent training that pulled from many diverse backgrounds that I would have probably never known about or experienced. I would highly recommend this to others and would love to make this an annual event.

I loved this training! This is my second time doing this training and would do it again. Along time ago I went to a training on sexual abuse with children from Liana Lowenstein and received a lot of good information. I certainly would go to another training in the future.

This is a fantastic introduction into DBT. The facilitator was experienced and knowledgeable and gave examples of how to implement the strategies of DBT that can be used immediately with clients.

This training provided some helpful techniques for me to incorporate into my practice.

I thought it was a wonderful idea to bring together play therapist's from around the world. I was able to see the differences and similarities between all of the instructor's. I found the information extremely helpful. Some of the children I work with have severe behavioral issues and are working on increasing their focus beyond 30 seconds; as such, not all of the techniques were relevant for my client demographic. But where applicable, the lessons here have been effective, particular with children who experience anxiety, lack interpersonal skills, and who experience symptoms of trauma disorders and attachment disorders. Some of the presenters gave useful, fresh ideas for telehealth with children.

The instructor was very skilled, the information was presented in a direct, easy to understand manner. I don't regularly use play therapy in my practice, but I still found the information easy to understand and useful.

I have become Tara Deliberto's biggest fan after watching and learning from her Eating Disorder Crash Course webinar. The information Dr. Deliberto prepared for this one hour course was exceptionally organized with handouts that followed and supported her presentation. I learned very relevant and helpful strategies and explainations that will help me be more thorough in the work I do with clients who struggle with eating disorders and/or disordered eating behaviors.

What a powerful and moving experience. I loved this course and am so thankful to have the opportunity to learn from Hedy! I hope Hedy is able to do more courses in the future - I would definitely join!

I truly believe Imago is a game-changer and can offer stonger connections not only between romantic partners, but other dyadic relationships.

Both instructors presented the material on enuresis and encopresis in a very informative and engaging manner. I learned applicable techniques I can use with clients (and with my own child’s bed wetting issues) such as creating a visual bathroom map to better help a child that is dealing with this issue.

Ms. Liana Lowenstein, is a very knowledge and experienced play therapist and mental health professional who provides informative professional information, playful interventions, and recourses regard to working with children and adolescents to facilitate the participant’s professional learning and growth.

The instructor was very knowledgeable and presented the material in an engaging manner explaining how to help out clients to work through sexual trauma and grief and providing concrete interventions we can use in our own sessions with clients.

This was an excellent training, I learned so much and especially benefited from ways to include parents at each step of TF-CBT. I always look forward to her trainings!

Dr. Kurtz is a very knowledge and experienced psychologist who provides informative information, clinical interventions, and resourses in regard to working with the children and adolescents presenting with SM and offers an informative PPT to facilitate the participant’s professional learning and growth.

This training was wonderful. I learned a variety of ways to incorporate dreams into my practice with youth and families. The instructor touched on how to get caregivers involved, how to help the youth communicate their dreams, and ways to be a safe container for nightmares.

It provided information appropriately and in a concise and useful manner.

This was probably the most useful workshop on play therapy that I've been to so far. It was straightforward and to the point of the research, the activity, the purpose, and the effectiveness. Each presenter seemed very knowledgeable on their topic, and I loved that presenters were from across the globe.

I was very impressed with the trainer's competence , knowledge and skillset. I've been to many trainings on this topic and even though this is the only one which was pre-recorded, I believe I got the most from this one. That's how incredible Liana Lowenstein is. Great webinar!

I thought this training was well-prepared and skillfully presented. I was engaged and learned about a lot of new activities I can use in treating kids and teens in my own practice.

I enjoyed learning from 3 different therapists and different aspects of the topic. The training focused on all involved in the therapy process - the therapist, child client, and the client’s caregivers. I appreciated being able to learn more about the topic of emotion regulation and how to incorporate it into practice with the kiddos I work with, their caregivers, and how to address my own internal states in working with my clients.

It was an excellent training and how amazing to have such talent in the field from all over the world!  They offered so many applicable techniques that can work over telehealth, which is much needed right now.

I really loved the online training. It was very informative and provided new up to date information/techniques from well trained providers. Hearing presenters from all over the world teach their favorite techniques was so incredibly engaging - I really loved it!! It felt very inclusive, especially knowing that we're all working with children who are going through the same things and have the same struggles. I left the online webinar having an arsenal of new tools that I can use. Not only will I be using these techniques myself, but I will be sharing them with colleges and in my supervision groups so that my team can also use these great techniques.

As a play therapist working in family court work, this training was practical and skillfully presented in a short training. I would recommend this training to anyone working with parent-child contact problems or seeing families who are experiencing separation.

The presenter was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the topic, as well as engaging with the participants despite it being through webinar (vs in person). This course helped to normalize the prevalence and symptoms of trauma. As a clinician, I am now aware that many of my clients may come in with traumas, however "big' or "small" they are to the client. I appreciate the suggestions for intervention.

This is the 2nd Playborhood event I have attended, and each time I have been truly inspired and leave eager to try some of the new interventions I learned. Lots of us helping professionals were suddenly faced with the challenge of moving a lot of our work online due to the pandemic. There is no doubt that engaging children online is often more challenging than in-person and it can be hard to find new online interventions at times. Dr Futeral is a highly trained and skilled clinician who has much experience and expertise for others to glean from.

Good examples and directions for activities. I found it particularly heplful l in beginning a new practice that may include working with children and how to engage them in a virtual experience.

I thought the instructor was knowledgeable, but the training would have been more beneficial if there were more interventions that didn't require buying a lot of supplies. Also, I would have liked to see interventions that were simpler and would not take up the entire session or multiple sessions. Plus, things that are less messy would have been helpful because in my setting I don't have a sink nearby to wash up messes from paint or slime.

The was a great offering to professional looking to gain more information and tools about the work we do with client affected with traumatic experiences.

I'm happy I attended the course. I learned a lot of tools and innovative resources to engage children online. It is hard to plan and try to retain the focus of children through a monitor, but the techniques and ideas provided are fun, and children love fun. If they do not feel like it is a session or exercise, they will look forward to meeting the counselor weekly or during the scheduled time. The facilitator did a great job giving examples and including attendees to participate. Although I was in the crowd, she made me feel like a happy kid in the session. She does an amazing job with her tone, occasional smiles and making the attendees feel welcome. I will use some of what I learned today and apply it to my practice.

I loved the enthusiasm of (most of) the presenters! They were engaging & fun & their passion for the work they do truly shined through! I loved all the resources shared, and never felt I was sitting through a 'sales pitch'! It is ever so important to have a variety of resources available - many of the presenters happily shared options! There were a few presenters who simply 'read' their power point - (not as engaging!); and one or two who spoke WAY too fast for anyone who was taking notes (good thing there is access to the recording!). Overall, however - the "learning" was fun, the information relevant (& current) and the variety of presenters and backgrounds & theory bases made for an excellent presentation! ...AND a fun-filled way to start my day! Thank you! ;-)

I really enjoyed this course, and though there were a couple of small hang-ups with Zoom, I thought that the virtual training worked pretty well. It was helpful to learn more of the fundamentals of mindfulness, and to learn some exercises and techniques that can be used with clients. Would love to participate in a follow-up training with some case examples! Great training, and would recommend to others.

I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! These techniques can help anyone with Bipolar, their loved ones, or anyone experiencing life stressors. Sheri was very easy to listen to and the time flew by.

What an amazing training! Dr. Treisman was able to articulate advanced concepts in a way that was easy to understand and applicable to my client cases. Dr. Treisman's concept of allowing the client to define "calming" for them is a game-changer and one that needs to be incorporated in all trauma-focused trainings.

This was a great training, even virtually. I feel like a lot of play therapy trainings are challenging to make engaging while online, but Lynn does a good job of making the training come alive. Lynn is very respected in the field of play therapy and I'm excited to take more trainings with her!

This training was very helpful in supporting my work as a trauma focused play therapist. It was nice to receive a refresher or learn how to integrate techniques into the teletherapy platform I use for some clients. If you can gain a few new techniques I would say this training is very worth it! Not to mention a few CEUs! I was very impressed by the diversity of presenters not only demographically but also theoretical background and orientation. 

The instructor was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and  kept my attention. She explained the reasoning why things are helpful and gave step-by-step instructions which is helpful. I would recommend this for anyone.

This was a great training with many practical activities and interventions to use with clients. The presenter was engaging, answered questions throughout and was very creative in showing actual videos of how the interventions work with clients. Super helpful for my work with children and teens with a variety of diagnoses.

This training was amazing. It helped me understand the foundations of play therapy and how it all connects. I usually don't do well with learning history, but this training kept my attention and focus. I thought this was a great and informative training. It was easy to follow and apply to your own personal professional development. Sueann Kenney-Noziska and Liana Lowenstein provided so much insight on how to facilitate a strong supervisory experience and how best to meet supervisee's where they are at in their professional and educational training. I appreciated the variety of interventions and techniques that could be adapted with client's and families as well as with supervisee's. The handouts and examples are wonderful and super helpful! I appreciated how they engaged the audience during the presentation and allowed for feedback and other's to participate or share experiences. The role playing was helpful to listen to as well. This was a very engaging, fun, and valuable training to listen to!. I would definitely recommend!

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

I often get so caught up in how clients process their trauma in the therapy room, that I feel overwhelmed when it comes to treatment planning and actual interventions to use. This course helped me feel more confident in my ability to help trauma clients.

The instructor presented the topic of learning sleep strategies to help our clients in a comprehensive and engaging manner. She presented detailed instruction on evidence based psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia as well as associated treatments and strategies to best help our clients (and even ourselves) struggling with insomnia.

Really interesting and helpful! I was just so impressed by how concrete the training was. Full of real hands on examples and ideas. The way each of the principles was taught was in a way we could describe it to a client. So appreciated.

Content was thorough, addressing both theory and practical applications. Speaker was knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. I enjoyed this training.

Liana was very interactive and knowledgable. Her course was playful and fun as a way to engage the audience, teach, and meet our clients on their level, which is PLAY.

I enjoyed that the strategies and techniques were also tied back to theoretical frameworks. I enjoyed hearing about each presenters experience and credentials. I liked the examples that were provided throughout so that participants could really see the strategies in practice, I also enjoyed Liana asking additional questions to presenters especially in how to prompt a client when using the different tools. I enjoyed that the materials were provided in the handouts!

This training was tremendously useful. I always walk away from away from Ms. Hartstein's trainings with tons of new ideas and this was no exception. Today my notes include 60 interventions that I can use with my clients, and I'm so excited to try them out! I also love how she weaves together a variety of play therapy modalities -- her training is focused on CBT but includes dramatic play, music, games, art, role play, narrative tools, bibliotherapy, and more. I highly recommend this training!

This course is a gem. I learned so much from it about working effectively with couples from IFS perspective. Dr. Tropper is a very knowledgeable and engaging presenter. This workshop is a must for therapists who work with couples.

It was one of the best trainings I have ever taken. I feel like many trainings can be repetitive, but I learned so much in this training. I thought it was fascinating and it will revolutionalize my practice! I did not want the training to end! Jessica was fantastic!

Very well organized course with lots of practical tips

  The information provided in the training about the historical court cases that have led us to the current place we are with rights for children, parents and families was incredible. I'm not much of a history person but I thoroughly enjoyed learning about those cases.

As a new therapist in my first few years before I can be clinically licensed these trainings are amazing. Being able to learn from experienced clinicians makes me feel more competent in my practice. This training gave me real life application that I can use and feel better prepared.

She is an incredibly skilled practitioner who is able to convey the model in a comprehensive, engaging manner. Her care and compassion for clients shines through and underpins the rationale for utilizing the model. She is an incredible role model.

I think that this training was very informative. It offered a number of different interventions with clear examples that were specific to the work of children's mental health. I also love how there were presentations from different cultures. It demonstrated that diversity is so important with working with kiddos and allowed for a safe space for the therapists as well! 

I loved this home study. I am at the beginning of my journey using DBT and I feel as though I I have formed a good foundation of DBT. I found the presenter to be full of knowledge and she provided examples that were helpful. I felt eager to learn more at the end of the study.

This training provided a great amount of information and interventions that can be utilized with children of all ages. It was nice to have presenters from all over the world, giving various real world experiences and techniques that have been used in a variety of cultures and settings.

This training was extremely helpful for me. I have been in the field for 2 years, so I'm fairly new at therapy. I enjoyed learning different interventions that would help improve the work I do with kids.

I really found this training to meet all the objectives it laid out. It not only affirmed some of the things I already knew, but it also provided me with new language to present to my clients and parents in how to understand anger and emotion dysregulation. For a worldwide event, this was incredibly well-organized and the variety of play approaches increased my knowledge as well as curiosity to learn even more. 

This course was an excellent presentation about how to conduct an online therapy session with a child or teen, with specific strategies and games demonstrated and explained clearly.

This course is a great introduction into the foundations of trauma. It synthesizes key details from the works of trauma experts Peter Levin and Bessel van deer Kolk, and offers ways for clinicians to expand their treatment efficacy with effective treatment modalities.

Ms. Lynn Louise Wonders is very knowledge and skillful in providing clinical supervision to the mental health professionals, provides informative information, especially the Integrative Developmental Model and Discrimination Model of Supervision, and has a very calm presence as a presenter.

She presented it in a clear and concise manner without minimizing any of the material. I loved the case vignettes and actual dialogue examples that she gave.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to learn from some of the best play therapists, all in one place, all at the same time. I really appreciated the fact that I left the training with 4 interventions that I could easily and readily put into practice right away!

I liked the organization of theories before sharing any of the techniques. I can then read up about the theory and extend on the techniques.
