Course Description:
Diagnostic criteria changes are often made within the mental health field. The DSM-5 and ICD-11 have added criteria for new disorders related to grief called: Persistent Complex Bereavement Disorder (DSM-5) and Prolonged Grief Disorder (ICD-11). In this important training, clinicians will learn the difference between the DSM-5, ICD-11, and DSM-5-TR and how to treat this aspect of grief.
This training will educate clinicians on the major differences between the DSM-5 and ICD-11 grief related disorders. It is crucial that clinicians stay up to date with new diagnosis when supporting clients. This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the criteria for the Persistent Complex Bereavement Disorder and Prolonged Grief Disorder. This workshop will leave clinicians feeling confident in providing a grief related diagnose while working with their clients to better serve them. It will provide grounding techniques and interventions to help clients deal with their prolonged grief.
