Therapists often feel at a loss in how to support clients in the process of trying to reconnect with loved ones. Throughout the life process, events may transpire (divorce, death, a move, trauma or other) that interfere with and interrupt a child’s connection with a caregiver. There is hope and more importantly, skills, that can help facilitate this repair.
Lynn Louise Wonders, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S presents this 2-hour recorded webinar which provides therapists an interactive training opportunity to learn about the very specialized process of supporting and facilitating reunification between parents and children when there has been alienation and/or estrangement. Through the use of play therapy treatment planning and specific interventions, you will learn how to help this family repair and connect.
Original recording date: June 24, 2020 Length: 2 hours 4 minutes
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

- List 3 specific challenges therapists may face in providing play-based reunification therapy.
- Describe the differentiation of play-based reunification therapy and traditional parent-child dyadic play therapy.
- List 10 play therapy interventions for play-based reunification therapy.
