Course Description:
When working with clients and servicing our communities, there is a great need to ensure that we are providing help that both supports and effectively helps those who are entrusted in our care. With the explosive growth of trauma awareness and research over the past decade, many individuals and organizations are taking a closer look to assess their practices and services to ensure they are providing trauma-informed care (TIC).

This training focuses on assessing one’s practice or organization to determine whether or not it is providing trauma informed care and provides clear yet concise definitions of trauma as well as what TIC is all about. We will review ACEs, as well as the steps necessary for creating a TIC practice that is trauma-aware, properly trained and that is providing the best services in line with trauma and neurobiology.

Utilizing the SAMHSA model for TIC practice and implementation, this training will empower you and your team to tweak, develop or upgrade your services in a way that will establish faster rapport, improve client outcomes and provide longer lasting results for your clients. This training, from a compassionate and experienced trauma expert, will change the way that you collaborate and help clients.
Original recording date: February 3, 2022 Length: 90 min

Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
