Course Description:
Note: This online event provides 3 CE Association for Play Therapy (APT) credits and meets APT's definition of "Live Webinar." See below for full details and APT site for their new policies as of July 1, 2022. Course is limited to 50 attendees only. Once capacity is met, course will be unavailable for purchase.

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is one of the most prevalent disorders diagnosed in children. While there are many different approaches to treating children with ADHD, directive play therapy interventions help to remediate the skills deficits such as short attention span, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.

This webinar will highlight the diagnostic features of ADHD, and will present practical and effective interventions to help children aged 4-12:

Interventions will also be presented for use by parents and teachers to increase positive behavior at home and school.

The presenter will discuss ways to optimize online therapy sessions for children with ADHD.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn new and innovative approaches to help get children motivated, focused, organized, and performing closer to their true potential.

This training will combine lecture, activity demonstrations, and experiential exercises.

Core Wellness Reviews

LCSW-C Participant

The course can be useful to daycare providers, foster care parents and anyone in a caregiver role. What I likes the most s was how to predict good behavior before it begins. To indirectly tell a child the behavior you want them to do. And also the empowering piece by saying “oh you know how to make a plan to get the game.”

Liana Lowenstein is a very knowledgeable, skillful, and experienced play therapist. I appreciated Liana’s initiative, coordination, and help in inviting other mental health professionals around the world to share their techniques with the play therapy community around the world, which makes it a very meaningful event and facilitates the interpersonal connection with people during the on-going impact of COVID-19.

As a seasoned LCSW, I learned a lot completing this training. I wished I had it at the beginning of my career. I plan to use a lot of the interventions in my practice as I have a lot of anxious children due to COVID. If you have bought or use Liana Lowenstein books in your therapy practice, taking her courses can help you see the interventions and psychoeducation in action. Highly recommend!

This training was great! It had a nice balance of theory, assessment, and interventions. I enjoyed the experiential parts of the session as it allowed demonstration of some of the techniques mentioned. I now feel more confident in addressing grief with child and adolescent clients.

I attended a live webinar through Core Wellness and found it to be such a great experience. The registrations process is simple and the snippets of what the trainings will include are very informative. They have great prices and wide array of topics that will allow me to touch on many areas to expand my clinical knowledge. The presenter was knowledgable, personable, and effective. What a great training!
