Course Description:
The National Institute of Mental Health estimates that about 2-4 out of every 1000 people experience psychosis each year, with a lifetime prevalence of about 3-5%.

This course provides clinicians with a comprehensive overview of the causes, diagnosis and treatment of psychosis, covering its various forms, etiology, symptoms, and evidence-based treatment modalities. It will cover general psychotic episodes, bipolar with psychotic features, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and psychotic mood disorders.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of psychosis and develop practical skills to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms. The course integrates theoretical frameworks with real-world case studies and interactive discussions to enhance learning and application in clinical practice.
