Lynn provides a cohesive and well presented overview of the IDM and DM models and how they can be utilized with experienced supervisees. I highly recommend your investment of time in this training.

I enjoyed the presentation and the instructor's passion for bibliotherapy was contagious. I want to run out and beef up my library! While I was grateful for the rationale for using bibliotherapy, what I appreciated most was the instruction in application.

Beth was awesome. Modeling the playful nature of her work was a great refresher.

This is my second attendance of this program and each time I learn something new. The information each presenter brings is full of great connection pieces, conceptualization components, and fun. This training was excellent. The topics covered by the instructors were useful and easy to apply.

Presenter was clear and concise. Distinction between the various diagnoses in DSM of Bipolar were quite helpful. She used many examples from her own practice and research which was quite impressive. The time allotted could have been increased, but due to the short nature, I was able to return to my workday without interruption. Her resources are great and I am planning to purchase the workbooks that she recommended. I am looking forward to next week's training as well.

This was a highly informative training on termination, leaving clinicians with multiple specific tools and interventions to faciliate more effective termination with the children and families they serve. Good presentation of information about trauma experience and symptoms. Too little time explaining strategies to use in session, and too little theoretical/empirical support for recommended strategies.

Lynn is an amazing clinician and it is wonderful to be able to enjoy a course from her on my own schedule. Treatment planning can be tricky, Lynn takes the insecurities of the equation and enthusiastically energizes you to engage in planning with your roots in theory. I sure do appreciate that and would love if more presenters were keen on explicitly connecting what they are doing to theory. Thank you.

This course was SO helpful! Makes me want to work with kids more. Most of my clients are adults and I'm thinking how I can apply some of this to those with lower IQ, lower functioning.

I appreciated this training because it made the concept of regulation more accessible and reinforced the importance of taking the discovery of regulation slowly and without rushing. I feel so often the therapeutic process can feel rushed and I think the reminder of spending a lot of time with developing these skills with clients is huge.

Treating trauma is an essential skill in therapy and this training by Dr. Joseph Trapper are helping me gain this skill in my work.

Lots of us helping professionals were suddenly faced with the challenge of moving a lot of our work online due to the pandemic. There is no doubt that engaging children online is often more challenging than in-person and it can be hard to find new online interventions at times. This was a great training on Positive Psychology. While most of us probably use components of this model, it was nice to learn more helpful strategies and interventions to use with clients.

This training exceeded my expectations. As a pre-licensed therapist, I learned so much about Sand Tray therapy, but also play therapy in general, and various seminal theories (theoretical orientations) that can inform my practice. I walked away feeling confident in implementing sand tray therapy with clients. Dr. April is clearly knowledgeable, and is a skilled therapist, as well as presenter - she made the training fun, authentic and engaging (even as someone that watched the recorded session). I enjoyed learning from 3 different therapists and different aspects of the topic. The training focused on all involved in the therapy process - the therapist, child client, and the client’s caregivers. I appreciated being able to learn more about the topic of emotion regulation and how to incorporate it into practice with the kiddos I work with, their caregivers, and how to address my own internal states in working with my clients.

This training provided a great amount of information and interventions that can be utilized with children of all ages. It was nice to have presenters from all over the world, giving various real world experiences and techniques that have been used in a variety of cultures and settings.

The course was great and I enjoyed listening to the activities that could be done during my sessions.

Before attending this training, I was uncertain about the therapeutic value of some games and which ones to include in the playroom, so I now have another tool for my kit. The instructor was very knowledgeable, and a great reflection on how she has incorporated games, into her sessions with children, the dialogue that can take place during gameplay was also very useful.

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

I'm happy I attended the course. I learned a lot of tools and innovative resources to engage children online. It is hard to plan and try to retain the focus of children through a monitor, but the techniques and ideas provided are fun, and children love fun. If they do not feel like it is a session or exercise, they will look forward to meeting the counselor weekly or during the scheduled time. The facilitator did a great job giving examples and including attendees to participate. Although I was in the crowd, she made me feel like a happy kid in the session. She does an amazing job with her tone, occasional smiles and making the attendees feel welcome. I will use some of what I learned today and apply it to my practice.

The instructor presented the topic of child protection versus parental rights, and subsequently child right, and grandparent rights in a very interesting and engaging manner. She gave a thorough lesson of how various court cases have shaped these rights over time. Ethics and law in therapy is not always the most engaging topic and yet I found the topic/course fascinating and am curious to take similar courses given by this instructor in the future.

The presenter presented the course on talking to children and adults about crisis, particularly in this crisis age of COVID, in a very clear and currently appropriate manner. He provided developmentally appropriate techniques to use with varying age groups facing crisis.

I really loved the online training. It was very informative and provided new up to date information/techniques from well trained providers. Hearing presenters from all over the world teach their favorite techniques was so incredibly engaging - I really loved it!! It felt very inclusive, especially knowing that we're all working with children who are going through the same things and have the same struggles. I left the online webinar having an arsenal of new tools that I can use. Not only will I be using these techniques myself, but I will be sharing them with colleges and in my supervision groups so that my team can also use these great techniques.

  This workshop was refreshing and informative. The resources and lessons provided will be utilized in my practice. We can all be reminded to lean in to be with our clients rather than above them.

A very high level of competence and command over a very large breadth and depth of material, that's not at all strictly "textbook" knowledge, or too "clinical." Lots of grounded, real-world application and examples, along with plenty of insights, implications, and tips, that are clearly from actual experience, and typically not found in the textbooks or academic settings.

I think that this training was very informative. It offered a number of different interventions with clear examples that were specific to the work of children's mental health. I also love how there were presentations from different cultures. It demonstrated that diversity is so important with working with kiddos and allowed for a safe space for the therapists as well!

I often get so caught up in how clients process their trauma in the therapy room, that I feel overwhelmed when it comes to treatment planning and actual interventions to use. This course helped me feel more confident in my ability to help trauma clients.

The course can be useful to daycare providers, foster care parents and anyone in a caregiver role. What I likes the most s was how to predict good behavior before it begins. To indirectly tell a child the behavior you want them to do. And also the empowering piece by saying “oh you know how to make a plan to get the game.”

Sitting on Zoom for two days covering theory and content can be tough, but not with this course! Dr. April is amazing. She organized and delivered this training in a way that kept me tuned in, engaged, and wanting more. She magically created a safe learning environment (VIRTUALLY, WOW!) that allowed participants to relax into her process, to ask general and individualized questions, and in the end, to feel capable of implementing sand tray therapy today! I can hardly wait! I hope to have Dr. April's skillset one day- she's inspiring.

This training was incredibly helpful. I received an overview of helpful therapies and resources to learn more and receive certifications in those therapies. With certain therapy styles, I've learned enough today to get started with clients if I wanted. I learned so many informative techniques to use with clients and plan to implement in my session this evening. I appreciated that the techniques were diverse and catered to the needs and mindsets of clients at varying points of the healing process and with different preferred healing and learning modalities.

This training was jam packed with useful parenting skills for the child and adult patient. Great resources provided.

This was a great presentation with lots of tips to take to the client. Understanding how we can change our physiology and how we can translate that to our clients is amazing!

This is my second year of attending the webinar for Playborhood. I enjoyed all of the presenters and the activities that they presented in 2021 that I was excited to see what was in store for 2022. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I got some more great activities to use with my clients. It also inspired me and got my creative wheels going in my head to add to the activities presented. I can't wait for the next one! One day I hope to be a presenter for Playborhood!

Fantastic training, very engaging with so many new techniques to bring to the playroom. This was most probably the best course I've attended in a long while. It was jam packed with simple but really effective ideas that can be used with a range of clients, children, young people and even adults in both individual work and group/family therapy work. Each speaker presented their technique with knowledge and enthusiasm and it was really easy to see how I could apply these to my own practice. I will definitely be looking out for next years conference.

Dr. Webb's knowledge and expertise was evident thoughout the entire training. Although short, she gave us a great and helpful overview of CEN conceptulization and treatment. I really learned so much.

I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! These techniques can help anyone with Bipolar, their loved ones, or anyone experiencing life stressors. Sheri was very easy to listen to and the time flew by.

I have always struggled to find ethics courses that are interesting and also cover the requirement social workers need to renew their license. I was pleasantly surprised with this one! It was very interesting, interactive, kept my attention and I learned many new things. Highly recommend.

The instructor presented the topic of learning sleep strategies to help our clients in a comprehensive and engaging manner. She presented detailed instruction on evidence based psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia as well as associated treatments and strategies to best help our clients (and even ourselves) struggling with insomnia.

The presenter was terrific knowledgeable and personable.

Core Wellness courses are much more practical than many I have completed. I enjoy being able to walk away with skills that I can apply in my practice as opposed to just theories and statistics. I look forward to more courses from them.

Due to COVID and switching to telemental health it has been a struggle to engage younger kids, but this training has provided me with some great activities that will assist me in assisting my clients virtually. This training on school refusal was so helpful and practical. Instructor Lynn Louise Wonders shared a wealth of knowledge of what could be happening for a child as well as provided different theoretical responses that can be used to work with children and families as they work through the challenges of such. Lynn also provided several valuable resources that can be used and purchased when working with such families. I found the training to be extremely helpful and tactile. I would strongly recommend this training to anyone who is considering taking such.

I loved the enthusiasm of (most of) the presenters! They were engaging & fun & their passion for the work they do truly shined through! I loved all the resources shared, and never felt I was sitting through a 'sales pitch'! It is ever so important to have a variety of resources available - many of the presenters happily shared options! There were a few presenters who simply 'read' their power point - (not as engaging!); and one or two who spoke WAY too fast for anyone who was taking notes (good thing there is access to the recording!). Overall, however - the "learning" was fun, the information relevant (& current) and the variety of presenters and backgrounds & theory bases made for an excellent presentation! ...AND a fun-filled way to start my day! Thank you! ;-)

I absolutely loved this Playborhood training! I loved hearing all the different ideas that people from across the world had. I especially enjoyed how these activities covered several different types of theoretical orientations as well, meaning that there was something for every therapist who attended regardless of their theoretical orientation. This was a very fast-paced training so I had to write quickly when taking notes. I am very thankful for the HUGE resource handouts as well!

A good training, focusing on the evolution of parents' and children's rights, as well as the ways in which those sets of rights can come into conflict with one another.

A fantastic brief overview of eating disorders that is not negative towards different body types and recognizes how to treat clients experiencing EDs of all types. Offered many different clinical interventions as well as when to make the decision to refer to higher levels of care.

This was one of the few trainings that I have experienced in which the presenter provided practical therapeutic activities and discussed processing. Most trainings on this topic are heavy on statistics and factors, I appreciate how this presentation provided facts as well as encouraged creativity in the counseling room.

I really enjoyed this course, and though there were a couple of small hang-ups with Zoom, I thought that the virtual training worked pretty well. This was a fabulous training! There is really nothing I like more than extremely intelligent people that have an idea to share that is simple and effective. 

Both instructors presented the material on enuresis and encopresis in a very informative and engaging manner. I learned applicable techniques I can use with clients (and with my own child’s bed wetting issues) such as creating a visual bathroom map to better help a child that is dealing with this issue.

I liked hearing about various interventions, how to apply them and their purpose with creative ideas. All the presenters seemed knowledgeable and I enjoyed the variety of approaches presented.

This training was an excellent place to learn specific activities to implement in my practice. The presenters were knowledgeable on their topic and brought to the table alternatives with the activities supplies if you are unable to obtain what they used for the activity. I loved learning the science behind the activities and how to discuss afterwards with our clients.

This provided clinicians with a whole new way to address anger in the therapy setting. Especially on learning how to meet the child or adolescent on their level. Developing a non-reactive approach to their behaviors and getting into deeper reasons why the anger was expressed in this manner.

Great presentation on the many faces of trauma, Joe always does an outstanding job and I look forward to his trainings in particular.

I thought it was a wonderful idea to bring together play therapist's from around the world. I was able to see the differences and similarities between all of the instructor's. I thought it was extremely helpful to see the techniques demonstrated. I appreciated the inclusion of theoretical orientation and discussion sections. I will be utilizing these techniques in my practice as a play therapist. I hope that more of these trainings will be done in the future.

This training was deep and practical, it showed how trauma forms and how this impacts treatment. Meeting the client where they are at is so important and I never understood the significance of the therapautic bond as explained today. 

The instructor presented several interventions that can easily be used. She also shared how to modify things to a virtual setting and important considerations.

This was a great training with well-informed, thoughtful instruction from Lynn Louise Wonders and several (video) guest speakers. It was nice to have an instructor realize her own limitations as a white woman and invite guest speakers to present on their lived experiences.

I thought the training presented many useful activities for therapists to use across all ages. I work with children ages 5-14 so it was helpful to have activities that could be used with each of age group.

What an amazing training! Dr. Treisman was able to articulate advanced concepts in a way that was easy to understand and applicable to my client cases. Dr. Treisman's concept of allowing the client to define "calming" for them is a game-changer and one that needs to be incorporated in all trauma-focused trainings.

It is an international play therapy conference as all the speakers are dedicated in helping children with play techniques. I was very pleasantly surprised at how many of the ideas presented I will actually be able to use in my practice as a school social worker.  Presenters' techniques were presented clearly and I am excited to try these ideas right away.

The most useful concepts I learned from this PD were thinking about EDs largely as experiential avoidance and the importance of providing positive feedback from food logs due to the shame factor.

I was able to immediately start using what I learned in training with my client that was scheduled after the training. She was very interested in the mood chart and I will definitely be exploring the various resources the instructor provided. I liked her own case examples, her use of resources and comfort level with the population she spoke about.

I learned so much as a student!! Play therapy is an area that I am now very interested in and I appreciated this conference's tangible skills I can apply immediately!!

I found the information extremely helpful. Some of the children I work with have severe behavioral issues and are working on increasing their focus beyond 30 seconds; as such, not all of the techniques were relevant for my client demographic. But where applicable, the lessons here have been effective, particular with children who experience anxiety, lack interpersonal skills, and who experience symptoms of trauma disorders and attachment disorders. Some of the presenters gave useful, fresh ideas for telehealth with children.

I thought the instructor was really knowledgeable and the content was relevant and appropriate for my work. Virtual trainings are always more difficult to engage with but the game examples helped keep my interest.

I always appreciate the fresh activity ideas and rationale behind them. Thank you!

I have become Tara Deliberto's biggest fan after watching and learning from her Eating Disorder Crash Course webinar. The information Dr. Deliberto prepared for this one hour course was exceptionally organized with handouts that followed and supported her presentation. The instructor provided a lot of information in a short period and was able to explain and provide interventions to use in treating teens who experience emotional dysregulation.

I work in a high school so this would be great activity the students can use on Jamboard.

This training balances emphasis on the basics of online therapy with children and specific and useful interventions that can be done via telehealth with children. The interventions provided can be used with a wide array of focus/concentration abilities and a variety of symptoms/diagnoses. They are both fun to help with engagement, and grounding to help with kids who are easily amped up or dysregulated by physically active interventions. I appreciate the variety of interventions and that many of them can be implemented both via telehealth and in person.

I leave every training facilitated by Liana feeling enlightened, energized, eager to continue working in this field, and more confident in my clinical skills

The trainer was amazing and facilitated helpful discussion topics and even assisted us to find alternatives to incorporating each intervention with our clients. The presenter was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the topic, as well as engaging with the participants despite it being through webinar (vs in person). This course helped to normalize the prevalence and symptoms of trauma. As a clinician, I am now aware that many of my clients may come in with traumas, however "big' or "small" they are to the client. I appreciate the suggestions for intervention.

This a helpful and useful training. It covered the basic understanding bipolar disorder and the different types, comorbidities and lightly covered treatment options. This one hour course, was very compact and informative. I have taken a total of three courses by Dr Jonice Webb, and have enjoyed her instruction skills, content, and style. I am thankful for the download handouts from this course and all other lists, charts etc. Dr. Jonice Webb provides, as they are very helpful in sessions, walking my clients through the treatment of CEN. I'm looking forward to implementing CEN into my private practice, here in Canada.

This training was motivating as Shlomo shared the information with authenticity and passion for the Imago model. I gained a true understanding that Imago Therapy is a model that promotes connection within the space between where couples often don't spend safe and quality time strengthening their relationships. The introduction course demonstrated this well and leaves a yerning to receive advanced knowledge. I truly believe Imago is a game-changer and can offer stonger connections not only between romantic partners, but other dyadic relationships.
