I enjoyed learning from 3 different therapists and different aspects of the topic. The training focused on all involved in the therapy process - the therapist, child client, and the client’s caregivers. I appreciated being able to learn more about the topic of emotion regulation and how to incorporate it into practice with the kiddos I work with, their caregivers, and how to address my own internal states in working with my clients.

The info about the archetypes and interpreting masks was fascinating and helpful. Thank you for a great training.

I really liked the Sexual Trauma Healing Program. I think it is a good structure. I also appreciate Dr. Tropper's explanation for asking questions regarding drinking and other addictive habits, as clients may not be upfront about their use.

April Duncan's knowledge and skills were so impressive and her style very engaging. I work with seniors, but I felt drawn into this course and eager to try this type of therapy with my clientele.

This training on school refusal was so helpful and practical. Instructor Lynn Louise Wonders shared a wealth of knowledge of what could be happening for a child as well as provided different theoretical responses that can be used to work with children and families as they work through the challenges of such. Lynn also provided several valuable resources that can be used and purchased when working with such families. I found the training to be extremely helpful and tactile. I would strongly recommend this training to anyone who is considering taking such.

This training was approachable and skillfully presented. I found myself walking away with a higher understanding of translating case conceptualization to treatment planning through the framework of the therapeutic powers of play. Although the trainer come from a very different theoretical background then myself I think she did a truly wonderful job exploring treatment planning from a variety of approaches which I found very helpful!

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

This felt like a good overview of the theory behind mindfulness as well as the practical application of techniques/skills to use with clients. The visual aids, examples, and videos were especially useful.

This instructor was very knowledgeable and included real life examples of situations.

This provided clinicians with a whole new way to address anger in the therapy setting. Especially on learning how to meet the child or adolescent on their level. Developing a non-reactive approach to their behaviors and getting into deeper reasons why the anger was expressed in this manner.

I loved this training! As a practicing play therapist who is always looking for new ideas and ways to work with kids and their families, this training provided me with the knowledge I needed on topics I felt I need more understanding around while also giving me concrete interventions to try with my clients right now. This was a great training that validates the Prescriptive way of practicing the art of therapy. It was great to watch and learn from practitioners around the world as they modeled session activities that promote and enhance a child's ability to express and articulate what the child is thinking and feeling.

This is the most in-depth webinar presentation I have attended so far in my career as a mental health professional. I came in to this workshop not knowing much on the topic but walking away with in depth knowledge about imposter syndrome that I can immediately apply in my professional work with clients struggling with this issue.

As one that is reluctant to host groups for children, this training effectively showed how it can be done giving me the confidence that I can execute a successful group.

It's a beautiful day in the playborhood: World Edition! was a fabulous training in learning different play therapy techniques from experts around the world. This training was excellent is teaching child clinicians about this common but little known childhood challenge. I liked the history, the interventions, and the encouragement that parents need to be involved.

The instructor presented the topic of learning sleep strategies to help our clients in a comprehensive and engaging manner. She presented detailed instruction on evidence based psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia as well as associated treatments and strategies to best help our clients (and even ourselves) struggling with insomnia.

I really appreciated how you presented both the postive and negative parts of each intervention so that we can choose how and when to apply it in practice. 

This is a good approach to dealing with various forms of Anxiety, especially tailored towards COVID-19 situation is especially helpful.

I thought this was a great and informative training. It was easy to follow and apply to your own personal professional development. Sueann Kenney-Noziska and Liana Lowenstein provided so much insight on how to facilitate a strong supervisory experience and how best to meet supervisee's where they are at in their professional and educational training. I appreciated the variety of interventions and techniques that could be adapted with client's and families as well as with supervisee's. The handouts and examples are wonderful and super helpful! I appreciated how they engaged the audience during the presentation and allowed for feedback and other's to participate or share experiences. The role playing was helpful to listen to as well. This was a very engaging, fun, and valuable training to listen to!. I would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this training even though I did not attend the live webinar. I always come back to the content that was presented in this training for reference when working with clients. I do wish that self harming /SI was a topic that was discussed in this training because it is very prominent within the child/ tween age range. Overall, I thought the instructor's activities and style were great. I learned a lot from this training and am excited to come back for the next edition!

This was an interesting course that gave me tips on how to talk with children and adults about crisis. It's always helpful to get some new ideas when working with children.

This course helped to normalize the prevalence and symptoms of trauma. As a clinician, I am now aware that many of my clients may come in with traumas, however "big' or "small" they are to the client. I appreciate the suggestions for intervention.

This ceu webinar just helped me to enhance my current practice. I utilize resources and tools discussed in my practice and it’s a nice refresher

This is a fantastic introduction into DBT. The facilitator was experienced and knowledgeable and gave examples of how to implement the strategies of DBT that can be used immediately with clients.

I thought the instructor was knowledgeable, but the training would have been more beneficial if there were more interventions that didn't require buying a lot of supplies. Also, I would have liked to see interventions that were simpler and would not take up the entire session or multiple sessions. Plus, things that are less messy would have been helpful because in my setting I don't have a sink nearby to wash up messes from paint or slime.

I enjoyed learning from a variety of professionals from around the world, and a variety of techniques that can be implemented into practice. I am looking forward to re-reviewing several as I implement them into my practice. 

I really found this training to meet all the objectives it laid out. It not only affirmed some of the things I already knew, but it also provided me with new language to present to my clients and parents in how to understand anger and emotion dysregulation. The instructors were clear in their explanations and provided really great hands-on play therapy techniques for real-world scenarios.

There was so much packed into this hour and it all flowed seamlessly together in a way that built upon the concepts. The instructor has an easy and pleasant manner and is obviously passionate about the topic.

Dr Treisman embodies warmth, compassion, and skill. In this presentation, she teaches co-regulation as an experience. I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! These techniques can help anyone with Bipolar, their loved ones, or anyone experiencing life stressors. Sheri was very easy to listen to and the time flew by.

This training was very helpful in supporting my work as a trauma focused play therapist. It was nice to receive a refresher or learn how to integrate techniques into the teletherapy platform I use for some clients. If you can gain a few new techniques I would say this training is very worth it! Not to mention a few CEUs! I was very impressed by the diversity of presenters not only demographically but also theoretical background and orientation.

Lynn is an amazing clinician and it is wonderful to be able to enjoy a course from her on my own schedule. Treatment planning can be tricky, Lynn takes the insecurities of the equation and enthusiastically energizes you to engage in planning with your roots in theory. This was the clearest, most well-organized and comprehensive training I've seen that addresses teens' behaviors in the context of developmental needs and what is occurring in their brains that make their behaviors make sense (and what to do when the behaviors are problematic). What an amazing training! Dr. Treisman was able to articulate advanced concepts in a way that was easy to understand and applicable to my client cases. I loved this home study. I am at the beginning of my journey using DBT and I feel as though I I have formed a good foundation of DBT. I found the presenter to be full of knowledge and she provided examples that were helpful. I felt eager to learn more at the end of the study.

I also love how she weaves together a variety of play therapy modalities -- her training is focused on CBT but includes dramatic play, music, games, art, role play, narrative tools, bibliotherapy, and more. This was most probably the best course I've attended in a long while. It was jam packed with simple but really effective ideas that can be used with a range of clients, children, young people and even adults in both individual work and group/family therapy work. Each speaker presented their technique with knowledge and enthusiasm and it was really easy to see how I could apply these to my own practice. I will definitely be looking out for next years conference.

Very informative Telehealth webinar, especially during these difficult times!

Sitting on Zoom for two days covering theory and content can be tough, but not with this course! Dr. April is amazing. She organized and delivered this training in a way that kept me tuned in, engaged, and wanting more. She magically created a safe learning environment (VIRTUALLY, WOW!) that allowed participants to relax into her process, to ask general and individualized questions, and in the end, to feel capable of implementing sand tray therapy today! I can hardly wait! I hope to have Dr. April's skillset one day- she's inspiring.

As a play therapist working in family court work, this training was practical and skillfully presented in a short training. I would recommend this training to anyone working with parent-child contact problems or seeing families who are experiencing separation.

Sheri Van Dijk was detailed in explaining, clarifying and giving examples. I appreciate her style and knowledge on the topic. I did not feel overwhelmed by the material given her tutelage, which helped me take it all in better.

Excellent clinical review of eating disorder treatment using FBT, IMT. Explained clearly from the medical and psychological viewpoint the severity and complexity of treating eating disorder clients, and reinforced the necessity of this specialization due to the lethality of this population.

It would be helpful to integrate this behaviour intervention with use of polyvagal arousal.

This was an excellent training that pulled from many diverse backgrounds that I would have probably never known about or experienced. I would highly recommend this to others and would love to make this an annual event.

I appreciated this training because it made the concept of regulation more accessible and reinforced the importance of taking the discovery of regulation slowly and without rushing. I feel so often the therapeutic process can feel rushed and I think the reminder of spending a lot of time with developing these skills with clients is huge.

I think that this training was very informative. It offered a number of different interventions with clear examples that were specific to the work of children's mental health. I also love how there were presentations from different cultures. It demonstrated that diversity is so important with working with kiddos and allowed for a safe space for the therapists as well!

The instructor presented the topic of the ethics behind reporting child neglect in a clear and thorough manner, exploring such related issues as when we are mandated to report and when not, use of corporal punishment, etc.

I found the information extremely helpful. Some of the children I work with have severe behavioral issues and are working on increasing their focus beyond 30 seconds; as such, not all of the techniques were relevant for my client demographic. But where applicable, the lessons here have been effective, particular with children who experience anxiety, lack interpersonal skills, and who experience symptoms of trauma disorders and attachment disorders. Some of the presenters gave useful, fresh ideas for telehealth with children.

This was one of the few trainings that I have experienced in which the presenter provided practical therapeutic activities and discussed processing. Most trainings on this topic are heavy on statistics and factors, I appreciate how this presentation provided facts as well as encouraged creativity in the counseling room.

This training exceeded my expectations. As a pre-licensed therapist, I learned so much about Sand Tray therapy, but also play therapy in general, and various seminal theories (theoretical orientations) that can inform my practice. I walked away feeling confident in implementing sand tray therapy with clients. Great training and instructor!

This by the far best body image training I have ever attended. Although I watched a recorddd version, I wish I had been there for the live version!! Will definitely attend in the future.

Thank you for the opportunity to attend this online training for free. It was well presented and an inspiring way to start off the new year. Thank you for all the time and effort that it must have taken to select the presenters and co-ordinate the wide range of skills and techniques presented.

All three presenters had great information and a broad knowledge base. I am always pleased to walk away with usable and valid techniques and ideas. I will be recommending this site to colleagues for future CE's and trainings.

I loved all activity and game ideas. It was nice to learn different modalities that could be used with client and their parents.

This course included creative ways to teach and interact with your supervisees.

Treating trauma is an essential skill in therapy and this training by Dr. Joseph Trapper are helping me gain this skill in my work.

As a clinical psychologist and Registered Play Therapist I have had decades of training and taken countless seminars. Lynn Louise Wonders' 20 Play Therapy Interventions for Anxiety with Older Children was a delightful surprise. Her enthusiasm and deep understanding of what it takes to engage this sometimes difficult age group by using creative and engaging strategies is the best I have ever seen. The strategies were indeed creative yet presented with succinct clarity and straightforward instructions. Sometimes these seminars can be tedious at the end of which one wonders what of this will I actually use, but every strategy she taught made intuitive sense for the play therapy process and was easy to grasp. I eager to try them. At the end, she presents several short well done psycho-educational videos that could be used directly with our clients and sprinkles the entire presentation with resources. Thank-you for this engaging educational experience .

Lynn does a wonderful job with her presentations. They are full of good techniques and practical interventions.

Instructor was very knowledgeable and presented a well organized training.

I really liked all the videos! It was great all around. I learned how to hear, empathize and communicate with couples effectively. The 10 points to focus on when working with couples. Also, communication and empathy is key.

The content was well organized and planned. The presenters were fantastic and well prepared. Interventions were clearly modeled and I walked away with many great resources for my therapy tool bag.

This was a helpful tool providing steps to help start your own practice which helped reduce the worry about how to go about doing it.

Dr. Gibson is very informative and knowledgeable about the subject of insomnia. Great information for counselors.

I really enjoyed the presentation, the format in which the information was shared and appreciated the professionalism and interactive nature of the presenter. The information felt a little bit like pouring old info into new bottles, however it was done in such a way that it provided a slightly different lens. Bravo!

I really enjoyed this course, and though there were a couple of small hang-ups with Zoom, I thought that the virtual training worked pretty well. It was helpful to learn more of the fundamentals of mindfulness, and to learn some exercises and techniques that can be used with clients. Would love to participate in a follow-up training with some case examples! Great training, and would recommend to others.

This training is a must for anyone working with kids and trauma! You are all awesome. Best virtually trainings I have experienced.

This course is a gem. I learned so much from it about working effectively with couples from IFS perspective. Dr. Tropper is a very knowledgeable and engaging presenter. This workshop is a must for therapists who work with couples.

Excellent training.

I really enjoyed learning about IFS and how to integrate it into my practice with couples as well as individuals. IFS contains a lot of what I have been looking for in addressing how we can release ourselves from the pain of our pasts and heal from those childhood hurts and trauma that impact us all. The presentation was straightforward, concise and informative. It left me feeling like this is something that I can do and be good at. I look forward to advanced training in this area.

I really like Liana's webinars. They give me ideas for how to make sessions fun and engaging. 

This training was very beneficial to my current practice, especially working with younger children who can be difficult to engage! Hands on tools that any therapist can easily apply.

I really loved the online training. It was very informative and provided new up to date information/techniques from well trained providers. Hearing presenters from all over the world teach their favorite techniques was so incredibly engaging - I really loved it!! It felt very inclusive, especially knowing that we're all working with children who are going through the same things and have the same struggles. I left the online webinar having an arsenal of new tools that I can use. Not only will I be using these techniques myself, but I will be sharing them with colleges and in my supervision groups so that my team can also use these great techniques.

Outstanding information and presentation on problematic sexual behaviors in children, along with solid interventions, theory and developmental considerations.

Great training!

The instructor presented the topic of child protection versus parental rights, and subsequently child right, and grandparent rights in a very interesting and engaging manner. She gave a thorough lesson of how various court cases have shaped these rights over time. Ethics and law in therapy is not always the most engaging topic and yet I found the topic/course fascinating and am curious to take similar courses given by this instructor in the future.
