This training was deep and practical, it showed how trauma forms and how this impacts treatment. Meeting the client where they are at is so important and I never understood the significance of the therapautic bond as explained today. 

This was an excellent training that I can begin using today with my clients. I found all of it very interesting and it has inspired me to learn more in these areas.

This training was motivating as Shlomo shared the information with authenticity and passion for the Imago model. I gained a true understanding that Imago Therapy is a model that promotes connection within the space between where couples often don't spend safe and quality time strengthening their relationships. The introduction course demonstrated this well and leaves a yerning to receive advanced knowledge. I truly believe Imago is a game-changer and can offer stonger connections not only between romantic partners, but other dyadic relationships.

Presenter was clear and concise. Distinction between the various diagnoses in DSM of Bipolar were quite helpful. She used many examples from her own practice and research which was quite impressive. The time allotted could have been increased, but due to the short nature, I was able to return to my workday without interruption. Her resources are great and I am planning to purchase the workbooks that she recommended. I am looking forward to next week's training as well.

I enjoyed learning from 3 different therapists and different aspects of the topic. The training focused on all involved in the therapy process - the therapist, child client, and the client’s caregivers. I appreciated being able to learn more about the topic of emotion regulation and how to incorporate it into practice with the kiddos I work with, their caregivers, and how to address my own internal states in working with my clients.

I absolutely loved the diversity of trainers and topics shared- very useful.

This is a great course on grief. It goes over the different models to use in sessions and discusses so many different aspects of grief. The instructor is fantastic, very thorough and organized!

I loved the enthusiasm of (most of) the presenters! They were engaging & fun & their passion for the work they do truly shined through! I loved all the resources shared, and never felt I was sitting through a 'sales pitch'! It is ever so important to have a variety of resources available - many of the presenters happily shared options! There were a few presenters who simply 'read' their power point - (not as engaging!); and one or two who spoke WAY too fast for anyone who was taking notes (good thing there is access to the recording!). Overall, however - the "learning" was fun, the information relevant (& current) and the variety of presenters and backgrounds & theory bases made for an excellent presentation! ...AND a fun-filled way to start my day! Thank you! ;-)

The presenter was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the topic, as well as engaging with the participants despite it being through webinar (vs in person). This course helped to normalize the prevalence and symptoms of trauma. As a clinician, I am now aware that many of my clients may come in with traumas, however "big' or "small" they are to the client. I appreciate the suggestions for intervention.

The interventions taught to treat enu/enco are appropriate and useful. Now I know that using a Lego toilet can be useful in tx. I appreciate the comprehensiveness of the instruction.

As a clinical psychologist and Registered Play Therapist I have had decades of training and taken countless seminars. Lynn Louise Wonders' 20 Play Therapy Interventions for Anxiety with Older Children was a delightful surprise. Her enthusiasm and deep understanding of what it takes to engage this sometimes difficult age group by using creative and engaging strategies is the best I have ever seen. The strategies were indeed creative yet presented with succinct clarity and straightforward instructions. Sometimes these seminars can be tedious at the end of which one wonders what of this will I actually use, but every strategy she taught made intuitive sense for the play therapy process and was easy to grasp. I eager to try them. At the end, she presents several short well done psycho-educational videos that could be used directly with our clients and sprinkles the entire presentation with resources. Thank-you for this engaging educational experience .

The instructor presented the topic of child protection versus parental rights, and subsequently child right, and grandparent rights in a very interesting and engaging manner. She gave a thorough lesson of how various court cases have shaped these rights over time. Ethics and law in therapy is not always the most engaging topic and yet I found the topic/course fascinating and am curious to take similar courses given by this instructor in the future.

Experienced insight into play therapy sessions.

I enjoyed the presentation and the instructor's passion for bibliotherapy was contagious. I want to run out and beef up my library! While I was grateful for the rationale for using bibliotherapy, what I appreciated most was the instruction in application.

An excellent presentation on trauma and its relationship to life problems. The concept that trauma is related to the protection of the individual and is a normal protective response is a wonderful point. Five key interventions that were presented are extremely helpful

Superb training, I reallly gained from the effective questions for prompting answers about crisis situations and in working with kids.

I often get so caught up in how clients process their trauma in the therapy room, that I feel overwhelmed when it comes to treatment planning and actual interventions to use. This course helped me feel more confident in my ability to help trauma clients.

This was one of the few trainings that I have experienced in which the presenter provided practical therapeutic activities and discussed processing. Most trainings on this topic are heavy on statistics and factors, I appreciate how this presentation provided facts as well as encouraged creativity in the counseling room.

I really found this training to meet all the objectives it laid out. This training was extremely helpful for me. I have been in the field for 2 years, so I'm fairly new at therapy. I enjoyed learning different interventions that would help improve the work I do with kids.

A very high level of competence and command over a very large breadth and depth of material, that's not at all strictly "textbook" knowledge, or too "clinical." Lots of grounded, real-world application and examples, along with plenty of insights, implications, and tips, that are clearly from actual experience, and typically not found in the textbooks or academic settings.

This training was great! It had a nice balance of theory, assessment, and interventions. I enjoyed the experiential parts of the session as it allowed demonstration of some of the techniques mentioned. I now feel more confident in addressing grief with child and adolescent clients.

This was a fabulous training! There is really nothing I like more than extremely intelligent people that have an idea to share that is simple and effective.

It was one of the best trainings I have ever taken. I feel like many trainings can be repetitive, but I learned so much in this training. I thought it was fascinating and it will revolutionalize my practice! I did not want the training to end! Jessica was fantastic!

I absolutely loved this Playborhood training! I loved hearing all the different ideas that people from across the world had. I especially enjoyed how these activities covered several different types of theoretical orientations as well, meaning that there was something for every therapist who attended regardless of their theoretical orientation. This was a very fast-paced training so I had to write quickly when taking notes. I am very thankful for the HUGE resource handouts as well!

The Playborhood is a fantastic training. I came away with immediate and relevant interventions to use with children and families both in person or via telehealth. I now can breath fresh content into my teletherapy sessions with very useful prescriptive techniques from play therapists from all over the world.

I really loved the online training. It was very informative and provided new up to date information/techniques from well trained providers. Hearing presenters from all over the world teach their favorite techniques was so incredibly engaging - I really loved it!! It felt very inclusive, especially knowing that we're all working with children who are going through the same things and have the same struggles. I left the online webinar having an arsenal of new tools that I can use. Not only will I be using these techniques myself, but I will be sharing them with colleges and in my supervision groups so that my team can also use these great techniques.

Sitting on Zoom for two days covering theory and content can be tough, but not with this course! Dr. April is amazing. She organized and delivered this training in a way that kept me tuned in, engaged, and wanting more. She magically created a safe learning environment (VIRTUALLY, WOW!) that allowed participants to relax into her process, to ask general and individualized questions, and in the end, to feel capable of implementing sand tray therapy today! I can hardly wait! I hope to have Dr. April's skillset one day- she's inspiring.

Liana Lowenstein is a very knowledgeable, skillful, and experienced play therapist. I appreciated Liana’s initiative, coordination, and help in inviting other mental health professionals around the world to share their techniques with the play therapy community around the world, which makes it a very meaningful event and facilitates the interpersonal connection with people during the on-going impact of COVID-19.

This training balances emphasis on the basics of online therapy with children and specific and useful interventions that can be done via telehealth with children. The interventions provided can be used with a wide array of focus/concentration abilities and a variety of symptoms/diagnoses. They are both fun to help with engagement, and grounding to help with kids who are easily amped up or dysregulated by physically active interventions. I appreciate the variety of interventions and that many of them can be implemented both via telehealth and in person.

It was an excellent training and how amazing to have such talent in the field from all over the world!  They offered so many applicable techniques that can work over telehealth, which is much needed right now.

Lianna's trainings are always on point and genuine. Her techniques are easy but not simple in that they permeate layers to allow for practical help and healing.

Dr. Kurtz was extremely knowledgeable, but did a wonderful job making the audience feel as though we could take these skills to our own practice. Sometimes overly complicated trainings leave you feeling less capable but that was 100% not the case here.

Wonderful presentation with a variety of hands-on techniques to utilize with clients. The best part, other than the variety, was the international component to it.  I believe that helps us to feel globally connected and realize our clients have similar issues globally (normalizing). Each presenter was very knowledgeable and provided clear understanding of how to utilize the techniques.  

I thought this was a great and informative training. It was easy to follow and apply to your own personal professional development. Sueann Kenney-Noziska and Liana Lowenstein provided so much insight on how to facilitate a strong supervisory experience and how best to meet supervisee's where they are at in their professional and educational training. I appreciated the variety of interventions and techniques that could be adapted with client's and families as well as with supervisee's. The handouts and examples are wonderful and super helpful! I appreciated how they engaged the audience during the presentation and allowed for feedback and other's to participate or share experiences. The role playing was helpful to listen to as well. This was a very engaging, fun, and valuable training to listen to!. I would definitely recommend!

I love that the trainings provide both the notes and clinicians presentation of their inervention.

  Ms. Lynn Louise Wonders is a very knowledge and experienced play therapist who provides informative information, playful interventions, and resourses in regard to working with children and adolescents presenting with SM to facilitate the participant’s professional learning and growth.

This is a great intro training to Bipolar D/O. It goes through all of the criteria for the different diagnosis, episodes, psychotic features etc. It's clear and the instructor does a good job mixing in her experience working with individuals with BD along side describing the illness.

She was awesome! I feel more competent than before I took the training. I am excited to implement these interventions.

It was good to know the most common ethical issues that arise for legal reasons.

Sheri Van Dijk was detailed in explaining, clarifying and giving examples. I appreciate her style and knowledge on the topic. I did not feel overwhelmed by the material given her tutelage, which helped me take it all in better.

It's a beautiful day in the playborhood: World Edition! was a fabulous training in learning different play therapy techniques from experts around the world. I learned valuable tools to use in the clinical setting and also with students that I work with in a public school. I look forward to using these techniques and integrating them into my practice. The Core Wellness team was prompt at answering questions and the training was well timed and laid out. 

Very informative course, I learned so much. I love Dr. Tropper. His presentation style is amazing: funny, relaxed, down to earth, informative, based on lots of research. I love his personal examples as I can relate to them.

I had studied DBT some, but never in relation to a Bipolar diagnosis. The techniques and considerations given were very helpful! Treating the person and the coping behavior, rather than their diagnosis as a definition of who they are is an amazing lens to learn from! These techniques can help anyone with Bipolar, their loved ones, or anyone experiencing life stressors. Sheri was very easy to listen to and the time flew by.

I work in a high school so this would be great activity the students can use on Jamboard.

This one hour course, was very compact and informative. I have taken a total of three courses by Dr Jonice Webb, and have enjoyed her instruction skills, content, and style. I am thankful for the download handouts from this course and all other lists, charts etc. Dr. Jonice Webb provides, as they are very helpful in sessions, walking my clients through the treatment of CEN. I'm looking forward to implementing CEN into my private practice, here in Canada.

I really enjoyed how approachable and understandable Dr. Deliberto was for this training. The information was presented in a way that I was easily able to translate what I learned into practice and was immediately able to treatment plan for patients I currently am seeing. I liked hearing about various interventions, how to apply them and their purpose with creative ideas. All the presenters seemed knowledgeable and I enjoyed the variety of approaches presented.

Lots of us helping professionals were suddenly faced with the challenge of moving a lot of our work online due to the pandemic. There is no doubt that engaging children online is often more challenging than in-person and it can be hard to find new online interventions at times. This course provided me with a variety of new interventions that I was able to use right away that the children enjoy! Thank you!

This training was incredibly helpful. I received an overview of helpful therapies and resources to learn more and receive certifications in those therapies. With certain therapy styles, I've learned enough today to get started with clients if I wanted. I learned so many informative techniques to use with clients and plan to implement in my session this evening. IFS contains a lot of what I have been looking for in addressing how we can release ourselves from the pain of our pasts and heal from those childhood hurts and trauma that impact us all. This was probably the most useful workshop on play therapy that I've been to so far. It was straightforward and to the point of the research, the activity, the purpose, and the effectiveness. Each presenter seemed very knowledgeable on their topic, and I loved that presenters were from across the globe.

Rather than the instructor using this as primarily a base to elicit more trainees, or to tell her stories, she was on-point, warm, and professional, My time was very-well spent and I took away additional tools I can utilize today. Thank you!

As a supervisor who has been in the field for many years, I usually take trainings as a requirement and feel a bit of dread when hearing the same themes over and over again. This was perfect for me as I had an abrupt termination with a nine-year-old client come up.

I thought the instructor was knowledgeable, but the training would have been more beneficial if there were more interventions that didn't require buying a lot of supplies. Also, I would have liked to see interventions that were simpler and would not take up the entire session or multiple sessions. Plus, things that are less messy would have been helpful because in my setting I don't have a sink nearby to wash up messes from paint or slime.

I have enjoyed each and every webinar that I have attended. The information is valuable and easily implemented into my personal practice.

This course was helpful in recognizing signs and symptoms of trauma, understanding how trauma affects areas of the brain, and brief overview of modalities to help address maladaptive coping mechanisms during therapeutic sessions.

These instructors skills, style, & content gave a training that was very useful.

The presenter was engaging and presented the subject matter of why teens engage in self injurious behavior and techniques we can use to help treat these patients in therapy in a clear and constructive manner. I would be interested in other workshops by this instructor in the future.

I thought the training presented many useful activities for therapists to use across all ages. I work with children ages 5-14 so it was helpful to have activities that could be used with each of age group.

I thought the training was great in teaching applicable and concrete interventions for play therapy. I enjoyed the connection presenters made with their technique and how to interpret it in different modalities. I enjoyed how the various techniques covered various age ranges and presenting concerns.

I do wish that self harming /SI was a topic that was discussed in this training because it is very prominent within the child/ tween age range. This was most probably the best course I've attended in a long while. Each speaker presented their technique with knowledge and enthusiasm and it was really easy to see how I could apply these to my own practice. I will definitely be looking out for next years conference.

I was so impressed by this training! The knowledge of the instructor really helped me grasp how trauma shows up in the experiences of the clients I work with, and I felt like I was learning things I could apply in my practice even today.

Good info with some actionable guidance

This was a great training that validates the Prescriptive way of practicing the art of therapy. It was great to watch and learn from practitioners around the world as they modeled session activities that promote and enhance a child's ability to express and articulate what the child is thinking and feeling.

The Playborhood gave me an opportunity to learn from experts around the world and add to my toolbox as a therapist. The handouts allow me to easily go back to the material and review and have resources to use with clients.

Very informative and definitely pointed me towards resources to get the ball rolling.

The course can be useful to daycare providers, foster care parents and anyone in a caregiver role. What I likes the most s was how to predict good behavior before it begins. To indirectly tell a child the behavior you want them to do. And also the empowering piece by saying “oh you know how to make a plan to get the game.”

This training on school refusal was so helpful and practical. Instructor Lynn Louise Wonders shared a wealth of knowledge of what could be happening for a child as well as provided different theoretical responses that can be used to work with children and families as they work through the challenges of such. Lynn also provided several valuable resources that can be used and purchased when working with such families. I found the training to be extremely helpful and tactile. I would strongly recommend this training to anyone who is considering taking such.

The instructors were extremely knowledgeable! Grounded in theory, the interventions shared were extremely applicable to practice immediately. All of the instructors were fantastic at giving you the confidence to implement these great new resources.

Ms. Lynn Louise Wonders is very knowledge and skillful in providing clinical supervision to the mental health professionals, provides informative information, especially the Integrative Developmental Model and Discrimination Model of Supervision, and has a very calm presence as a presenter.

This provided clinicians with a whole new way to address anger in the therapy setting. Especially on learning how to meet the child or adolescent on their level. Developing a non-reactive approach to their behaviors and getting into deeper reasons why the anger was expressed in this manner.

I thought it was excellent and again Liana had so many ideas and resources to pass on.

This training was wonderful. I learned a variety of ways to incorporate dreams into my practice with youth and families. The instructor touched on how to get caregivers involved, how to help the youth communicate their dreams, and ways to be a safe container for nightmares.

This was the clearest, most well-organized and comprehensive training I've seen that addresses teens' behaviors in the context of developmental needs and what is occurring in their brains that make their behaviors make sense (and what to do when the behaviors are problematic). Excellent presentation!

Dr Treisman embodies warmth, compassion, and skill. In this presentation, she teaches co-regulation as an experience. I felt the regulation through her teaching methods and found myself highly engaged and wanting to hear more. This is a challenge these days after SO many lessons being delivered virtually, but she is truly a gifted speaker.

The instructor provided a lot of information in a short period and was able to explain and provide interventions to use in treating teens who experience emotional dysregulation.

I enjoyed the practical techniques presented in the webinar. I appreciated the theoretical frameworks presented behind each technique. I can use these in my practice tomorrow and can easily adapt them to a variety of settings. After 20+ years of practice, I love getting new tools to add to my practice. Thank you!

What an amazing training! Dr. Treisman was able to articulate advanced concepts in a way that was easy to understand and applicable to my client cases. Dr. Treisman's concept of allowing the client to define "calming" for them is a game-changer and one that needs to be incorporated in all trauma-focused trainings.

This training should be mandatory for all graduates and all therapists. Why was I not taught about trauma? All my clients need these interventions. 

This was a great training on Positive Psychology. While most of us probably use components of this model, it was nice to learn more helpful strategies and interventions to use with clients.

I think that this training was very informative. It offered a number of different interventions with clear examples that were specific to the work of children's mental health. I also love how there were presentations from different cultures. It demonstrated that diversity is so important with working with kiddos and allowed for a safe space for the therapists as well!

This training was well-presented with actionable, easy-to-implement techniques to use in play therapy. The ides presented were diverse in use and theoretical underpinnings and were especially helpful to any one that wants to work with children and join with them in their world.

I really liked the Sexual Trauma Healing Program. I think it is a good structure. I also appreciate Dr. Tropper's explanation for asking questions regarding drinking and other addictive habits, as clients may not be upfront about their use.

Lynn is an amazing clinician and it is wonderful to be able to enjoy a course from her on my own schedule. Treatment planning can be tricky, Lynn takes the insecurities of the equation and enthusiastically energizes you to engage in planning with your roots in theory. I sure do appreciate that and would love if more presenters were keen on explicitly connecting what they are doing to theory. Thank you.

I found the continuing education training provided by Core Wellness to be informative and well-organized. The speaker was knowledgeable and did a great job of answering questions and providing information that could be readily used in practice.

Core Wellness has provided some very good trainings and this was one of the best. I think it is well worth any clinician's time to take this training. I learned from three talented instructors both about theory and about interventions to use in practice with clients around regulation and anger.

The most useful concepts I learned from this PD were thinking about EDs largely as experiential avoidance and the importance of providing positive feedback from food logs due to the shame factor.

I really enjoyed the discussion of defense mechanisms and games. I especially liked learning about mind masking, a useful technique that we as therapists should master.
