In Maryland, professionals from varied industries and fields are required to earn CEU credits stipulated by the particular accreditation body pertaining to their field. For instance, a social worker must have 40 hours of CEU that should be completed by 31st October, every 2 years. 3 hours of study should focus on professional conduct and ethics and issues related to the laws and practice governing social work in Maryland and 20 hours of home study is allowed. For licensed social workers 30 hours of CEU is needed with 15 hours of home study.
Core Wellness CEU is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners, Maryland to sponsor CEU programs for social work and whether they are in-person or interactive webinar based, Core Wellness’ training qualify for Category 1 CEUs. Core Wellness’ credits are accepted by the Board of Psychologists, Maryland and Board of Professional Counselors, Maryland. All Maryland boards consider live webinar participation as live attendance, while recorded training is considered as Category 2 or home study.
